Who is REALLY TALKING to Eve?
Have you ever consider who is really talking to Eve in the Garden of Eden? Have you considered that it is really ADAM that is talking to her and asking her about the forbidden fruit?

No, I haven't. Do you have any Scripture references that might support your proposal?

No, and to believe otherwise is to be fooled by the same devil that fooled Eve.

By the way, it really wasn't a serpent in the Garden. The Hebrew word translated as "serpent," actually means to hiss.

Personally, I believe the serpent did (and does) represent the rebellious mind. God (I repeat) God allowed her to be drawn away by her imaginations, so that the Plan of salvation would be underway.
Again, my belief.

Hi Trettep, how would you understand Genesis 3:14-19 if this is what is believed to be the case? God bless.

Consider that Genesis 3:1 says that the Serpent was more cunning (a word also translated as prudent in various verses) then all the beasts of field. Now do we really think that the serpent would be more cunning then a man that was being created in the likeness of God? This term SERPENT, I believe is just a reference to the evil nature of the man (consider that Jesus called the Pharisees serpents).
Also consider Genesis 3:2 that Eve says "WE" to the Serpent, so the Serpent must have either been a part of "WE" or have knowledge of Adam also.
Genesis 3:6 included the words "with her". Why? Why would it contain such a phrase that would have been implied otherwise. Seems to me that God wants us to seek out that it is actually Adam that is talking with Eve. Maybe this explains why Adam was not the one deceived - because is the one doing the deceiving.

No. God addressed Adam and the serpent individually over the incident.

Hi ShanaBrown, the condemnation to the Serpent is just a specific condemnation that shows such a nature is condemned by God.
