Well the sexual abuse story is not over by a long shot, much is still being uncovered, the main problem is the hierarchy does not want to recognise that they still have a problem and refuse to admit they are part of the problem.
Those involved in the cover uo continue to get rewarded for their involvement.
Recently a bishop was caught at the airport with child porn on his laptop, he was returning from one of his many trips to South East Asia where it is an easy score to have sex with children.
You would think someone would question his many trips to that part of the world, but there is no ACCOUNTABILITY for bishops.
What has Benedict XVI done? Nothing, he took a few trips around the world did a little PR, that’s about it. His only actions were to attack gays and launch an investigation into the religous orders of nuns in the United States, how bizarre.
It would seem that it is business as usual for the elite MEN in power in Rome.

In Pope Gregory infallible messege he gives NO IDEA THAT SAYS THAT THIS IS ONLY THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH he is talking about...... All churches that confess Jesus is Lord and, confess ``unless we are born again of water and the spirit, we cannot , as the truth says enter into the kingdom of heaven``..... Are the Universal catholic church..... most Protestant, and Roman Catholic church are both in the Universal Catholic church of the Lord God....... Read between the lines before you reject you brother salvation or you will DISHONOR THE FATHER, .. Bible says that when you dishonor your father ,you will not live long in the earth ...Deuteronomy 5:16 .... Bless your brothers in other churches....sure there are ignorant people who reject the Roman Catholic churches and there are ignorant people who reject other churches ,but that is their sin and they will have to come the Lord God with their sin by them self, hopefully now then at the judgement seat of Christ Jesus.

I guess since every religion has ministers who are peddophiles, your belief would be that NO religion is acceptable! Right???

Actions do speak louder than words.
The Eucharist is for members of the RC Church only. I admire a priest who refuses to give Communion to someone he knows is not a member. Actions do speak louder than words!

These sects obstinately and pertinaciously reject one or more of the truths that Christ clearly instituted, such as the Papacy (Matthew 16; John 21; etc.), Confession (John 20:23), the Eucharist (John 6:54), and other dogmas of the Catholic Faith. In order to be saved one must assent to all the things which the Catholic Church, based on Scripture and Tradition, has infallibly defined as dogmas of the Faith."

Yeah, well... the Baptists think the Catholics are going to hell, the Mormons think all Protestants and Catholics are going to hell... no matter which sect of Christianity you choose, another sect thinks you'll burn in hell for eternity. So I guess everyone's going to hell lol!

Personally I think this is a load fed to Catholics by the RCC. They have Catholics believing that every other denomination has the same number of pedophile clergy and that the "liberal press" just picks on the RCC.

Here's the big problem. The RCC, by requiring priests to be celibate, has created a hiding place for men with sexual disfunction, be it pedophilia or an inablity to cope with their homosexuality. So many priests become priests to avoid dealing with homosexuality or other sexual disfunction. But obviously simply trying to hide from these issues doesn't work, and eventually many of them act on their desires. I've known several gay priests who would at least admit it to me, and they admitted that it was the only "honorable" thing for them to do in their families rather than coming out and risking being disowned. I think many of them figure that if they're living a celibate life of misery, they might as well attack the gay people out there living life as they were meant to.

If you look at mainline Protestant churches, pastors are able to marry, and by far the majority of them are married. It's not a hiding place for any type of sexual disfunction. You have the odd Ted Haggard situation, but then I think you have more disfuntion in general in these evangelical churches that seem to attract mostly alcoholics and people out of rehab!

Christianity is a way of living your life for God.

baptists, catholics, mormons, protestants etc. are man made avenues of religon with their specific requirements to enter into Heaven.

they lift up certain men/women who can fill the church(building) with
people. Which by their standards means they are closer to God than a
church(building) that don't have as many people, Its a business that
competes vigorously using God as a product.
God saves individuals, not groups or members of a certain church(its in the Book).

Jesus' life is what we are to use as a guide to living, I don't think it is wise to argue about who is going or not going ,it should be everyone wish that all mankind could gain salvation, just as God does. but we all have freewill
to choose the life we want to live. choose wisely. (read the Book)

Default The Dogma that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church

Well as an ex-Catholic of 35 years I'am not about to attack or bash this wonderful church, clergy and members. I learned many years ago that
they aren't going to change their Dogma as a result of anything I say as it is held sacred and basically linked to history, tradition, multienthic, litany of saints, sacred events, litergy, symbols, relics, ceremony, catechism,s acred orders, scraments, eucharist ,biblical truths, indulgences, intercessory prayer to entities, categories of sin, music, devotions to Mary, missions, literature, and long held beliefs associated with their religion. Lastly, we have to respect "their belief" that the Catholic Church is the one true church and there is no salvation outside of it? (the later point might be argued by the church as I don't recall that being written in stone but perhaps implied.)
