Sorry but President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon beat them to it, I seem to recall that they were Republicans.

Both Eisenhower and Nixon were elected because the Dems had started a war with now clue how to end it...(Im old enough to remember the time)

Sorta like what has happened with Obama and the war in Iraq.

However, the numbers of boys killed is not even close.
In Korea and in Nam we would lose 100s of guys to take one hill.
In Iraq we think it's a shame if we lose 30 guys in a whole month .

The future is unknown, so if the war in Afghanistan goes as badly as the generals are saying, then look for another Republican to be elected with the job of ending it.

Not sure, but how many people were SAVED because of the war. That seems a little more important

Not a pimple compared to how many innocent lives have been snuffed out by abortions in America and around the world. To make such a comparison only exposes your extreme leftist agenda. It's like comparing the energy output of a match with the energy output of the sun and then saying there is equivalence.

After reading this last comment of mine I can only affirm that true political liberalism and true Christianity are totally and completely incompatible. If you are a true liberal, you can't be an orthodox Christian and if you are a true orthodox Christian, you can't be a good liberal. That's the way I see it.
