I would like to contrast what you said by this verse:
You know right about here I lost where you were headed with this post.
I dont have a clue what you are talking about until we get down to this next part...
Should you choose to believe, then hell is bearable, but if not, than hell is really hell in the now!
Do those who follow only the Old Testament (Jews), or Koran (Muslims), or other religious book just as strongly believe that Christians will go to hell if they do not convert or change their beliefs to what they believe?
Because as far as what I know, most religions/religious people believe in a heaven and hell in one form or another. Although I could be wrong on that.

Thats silly...
Hell is unfathomably painful...
muman
We all suffer the pangs of this life, some more severely than others, not limited to any one in particular, not even Christ.
Painful as it may, those who hold to God for comfort are able to endure pain and suffering to a better degree than those who don't.
Here are some verses to confirm what I just said:
Phi 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
1Pe 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
Jam 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Each, collectively believe certain religious dogmas. Individually however, some tend to be leaning to a more liberal view.
God has made it so that the individual has the right to choose from the religious circumstances given, based on promptings from the Holy Spirit's guidance.
God's objective is to get us to rule from the heart, rather than from the letter of the word, words, laws and traditions.
For all those are but for a standard, but the heart is above them all when God finds residence there.

"IN SHORT...For Jews, anything that even remotely conflicts with the idea that God is One and Indivisible will be rejected because it precludes true, pure, monotheism. The idea that there is a God in heaven above who fights against a god of the underworld, or hell, is not monotheism, however, it is the same duality found in other pagan faiths. The Bible speaks of a character known as The Satan, who acts like a prosecuting attorney, or a district attorney, in God's court. However, The Satan has no power or authority in and of himself, rather he must get permission from the Judge, God, to do anything. "
What Jews Believe (http://whatjewsbelieve.org/explanation07.html - broken link)
From a rabbi: "When a person dies and goes to heaven, the judgment is not arbitrary and externally imposed. Rather, the soul is shown two videotapes. The first video is called "This is Your Life!" Every decision and every thought, all the good deeds, and the embarrassing things a person did in private is all replayed without any embellishments. It's fully bared for all to see. That's why the next world is called Olam HaEmet - "the World of Truth," because there we clearly recognize our personal strengths and shortcomings, and the true purpose of life. In short, Hell is not the Devil with a pitchfork stoking the fires.The second video depicts how a person's life "could have been..." if the right choices had been made, if the opportunities were seized, if the potential was actualized. This video - the pain of squandered potential - is much more difficult to bear. But at the same time it purifies the soul as well. The pain creates regret which removes the barriers and enables the soul to completely connect to God. Not all souls merit Gehenom. It is for people who have done good but need to be purified. A handful of people are too evil for Gehenom, and they are punished eternally. Pharaoh is one example." http://judaism.about.com/library/3_a..._afterlife.htm
When asked if Jews believe in hell: "Yes, but not the one found in cartoons and joke books. The prophets and mystics of Judaism described a spiritual place called gehenom. Though usually translated as hell, a better translation would be “the supernal washing machine”, because our understanding is that a soul is cleansed in gehenom, just as our clothes are cleansed in a washing machine." Now the Muslims may have a slightly more gorey form of hell....I don't know.

.
I got good news and bad news....
first the bad news...
The bad news is that I just found out from Allah that the Muslims are correct.
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
Belief that saves is:
believe in Jesus as God.
that God is triune
faith not works
Really? Where does the bible even say that God is triune, let alone that it is part of the belief that makes one "saved?" or that one must believe that Jesus is God? Those are not statements found in any part of the bible!
Also what about this verse then?
John 12:47 "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.
You know....if people spent as much trying time enlarging Gods Kingdom as they do talking about putting people into hell....can you imagine how big His Kingdom would be right now?
Just tossing in my two cents worth!
