Default Christian women pursuing marriage

What does that look like?

It seems somewhat conflicting. So, biblically, women play the role of giving men the control, and men are expected to pursue women. Do women pray, wait, and hope someone will pursue them?

I was reading the thread:
http://www.city-data.com/forum/chris...ian-women.html

It seems that the people agree that women should pursue marriage. I am turning 30 soon (!), and I feel that I have focused my eyes on the Lord all these years. I pursued a graduate degree, but also attended a large church with active singles ministries, and I have asked the Lord that he will bring me a husband. I have been open to the idea of getting married while in school, but there has not been any propositions.

My question to you is how do Christian women pursue marriage?

I have not gone the online route, and I do think it's one of the ways. I think that women's pursuit of marriage is different from men's. Men can ask women out, but women are to wait. What can a woman do when she is interested a Christian man? Pray and wait that he'll one day ask?

Thank you.

Women can ask men out in my neck of the woods! Also, it helps to form close relationships with men as friends first. Hang out, they can call you with questions about women... that sorta thing.. I wouldn't go online.. never know what you are getting... I've been married 10 years so I'm a little out of touch with the whole dating thing though....

I'd say if you want to go out with a man in church, just ask him! The worst he will say is no. And if it is a taboo in your church to pursue a man, well that is a ridiculous sexist view to have. Go for it!
