Christian liberty. He preached from Romans 14:1-13 and in a nut shell he basically preached about the divisions in the church due to the people being legalistic over NON ESSENTIALS like the Romans were being in regard to celebrating certain holy days, sticking to the Jewish dietary laws, and judging one another.
My pastor's sermon blessed me today because it allowed me to see that the things that US Christians argue about and debate about are the very thing that turns away people from becoming Christians. To debate whether or not worshipping on Saturday or Sunday, celebrating holidays or not, and eating pork or not, are all non essentials that should be left to our own individual convictions. We shouldn't be judgemental or even debate with anyone about NON ESSENTIAL TOPICS that absolutely have nothing to do with our salvation.
It's sad that we have religions that teach that if you don't worship God on Saturday, you are not saved, and if you don't attend their church or become a member of their religious organization, then you are not saved nor truly worshipping God. Let's be mindful of the fact that NO PERSON and NO RELIGION HAVE GOD IN THEIR POCKETS. We should be preaching the good news about Jesus Christ and the fact that he died for ALL OF OUR SINS in order for us to seek repentance and forgivness of our sins.

Amen! I totally agree. Too many US Christians lose sight of this when they argue over trivial matters such as what you mentioned as well as styles of worship. We as Christians need to get back to the basics, which is serving the Lord and leading the lost to Christ.

We shouldn't wrangle over non essentials but we should over ESSENTIAL doctrines
