Also, where do you read any of the early church fathers that believed in God saving all also taught God would eternally torment people?

If the TRANSLATION of what they wrote says "eternal torment" you can best bet it is a mistranslation of either AIWN or AIWNIOS.

I must add, that depending on how one interprets such things, I would imagine that predestination gets its strongest treatment in Barth.
