"I was in despair. Deep despair. I drew myself: the representative of an individual in despair, with hands palm outstretched outwards and downwards in the manner of Goya’s peasant before the firing squad. I formalised the drawing into a line and put a circle round it."

That is the peace symbol. A symbol used to first represent the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and later as a universal sign of peace. Claims that it is of satanic origin are ridiculous! The origins and the ideas behind the symbol have been clearly described, both in letters and in interviews, by Gerald Holtom and his original sketches of it are now on display as part of the Commonweal Collection in Bradford.

Satanic? Demonic? Utter and complete hogwash.
You can bang your head as many times you want. I didn't know the men or their FULL intentions. Do you? I have seen many things whether it were symbols or songs that later I found out admitted by the creator had hidden messages to them. I would not be surprised one bit if it had a double meaning. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Where have you offered any more than whatelse has been presented, there is no call for cursing but as has been pointed out plenty here many symbols have many meanings and that is a fact you must live with.

I see so many cute shirts with this peace symbol on them, but I refrain from buying these articles of clothing because I do NOT want to wear something that is so demonic if that is the case. Let me just say this, I would rather wear age old rags than to wear something that is so anti-God and revolting as an upside-down Cross. Please shed some light on this subject for me, is a peace sign anti-God aka demonic (broken upside-down Cross)? Thank you kindly in advance on this topic!
I think you really need smarter friends, cause these people are simply pulling into their intolerance and unreasonable thought processes. The superstition these people are expressing shows astounding levels of ignorance on their part, and they are dragging you down to their level every time you give their views any credence.

That's unfair. Let's not go to the other extreme that there is no boogyman out there because the truth is there is a boogyman, we just need to use our spiritual discernment better in order to see if something is really there or not.

What is the matter with some of you people? Not everything is back or white...Good or evil, or have hidden meanings....The peace symbol is simply that...A symbol of peace. How on earth can anyone attach evil meanings to that?

Hi Fundamentalist! I so much agree with you! It is a matter that I will pray about!

Hi Mercury,
Hell no, I dont think that nuclear disarmament demonic at all. In fact I can imagine that Christ would agree to have nuclear disarmament. Christ is all 100% PEACEFUL!

Hi daddythreepointoh, This is exactly why I agree with Fundie about praying and letting the Holy Spirit direct me on this matter!

Hi Asheville, I am glad that I consulted you all about this. It has opened my eyes to the truth about this and how some Christians prejudge this. I think that these people that I asked about this topic in the past should have said to me what Fundie said, for me to pray!

Thank you all for your responces. I am glad that I posted this thread and I greatly appreciate your help!
