I have no problem at all accepting the reality of eternal condemnation. And I have already told you what much of the suffering consists of.
And yet.....here you are talking about it, trying to rationalize it away.
The fact that those who have rejected Christ as Savior will spend eternity in the lake of fire is perfectly fair. Again, it is a matter of understanding who and what God is and that He created man to resolve the angelic conflict.
Do you or do you not believe that the Bible is the word of God? Do you or do you not believe what is clearly spoken of concerning fate of those who reject Christ? Matthew 25:41,46; Revelation 20:10-15; Daniel 12:2; 2 Thess 1:7-9.
Appeals to the emotion have no bearing on reality. From God's perspective we all deserve to be eternally separated from Him in the lake of fire - Gehenna - the outer darkness - hell. Call it what you will. Yet God has provided the means of escaping that fate. He provided the means of eternal salvation through faith in Christ. God has no desire that anyone spend eternity in hell. 2 Peter 3:9 'The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentence.'
God has made it possible to have eternal life through faith in Christ. Those who end up in the lake of fire have only themselves to blame for ending up there. And instead of recognizing that simple fact, people ignore and reject what the Scriptures say and attempt to impose their notions of what is just and unjust on God.
I don't cater to the foolishness of those who deny the clear revelation of Scripture and who attempt to mold God into an image that they find desirable.

You seem to ignore the myriad of verses that speak of the final destruction of the wicked. Or rather, you insist they mean something else than the plain meaning.
It's not profitable to argue any further. Neither side will change the other's mind and it's the same old people going around in circles.
I don't know why you try to convince the UR people of the 'error of their ways' when they seem totally disgusted with the idea of ER, and I don't know why they try to convince you that they are right when you seem totally disgusted with their 'Satanic deception.'
We should all just focus on what we have in common. I've believed in ET for many years and deep inside my soul I could never go back to believing and accepting it. I've actually tried to MAKE myself, but it would take an awful lot of desensitizing. It's a combination of scripture and my heart which have led me to this position. Even if you believe in ET you don't seem to have any sympathy for those who have this fate but seem to think they have it coming. I'm sure you have some goodness in you Mike because you know of God's love, deep down, beyond all the fear and threatenings.

Exactly, trying to convince someone who believes in UR to believe in ET is like trying to convince a mother that it is holy and righteous and that it is Gods desire that they should molest and torture her own new born baby ... Except ET is worse.
But what do you expect from people who believe that such a perverted lie is in fact the gospel truth and the good and righteous judgment of God?
