You are on a need to know basis..

I've researched your need.. and it doesn't mean the minimum standards.

Although I do take note that if someone disagrees with you.. they are automatically deemed "non Christian".. you crazy ol' so and so..

I wasn't able to watch the video (I'm at work and they ban us from those sites) but I've seen my share of Christians who think they have to save everyone they meet by banging them over the heads with their bible verses, all the while proclaiming the love of God. Some christians make us all look like heretical idiots when they preach or share the gospel in this manner...and in the end will not bring someone who is not called any closer to Christ.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that you can't or shouldn't witness to everyone you meet until you are led by the Spirit of God to do so...it is a fruitless endeavor otherwise. Those who are not called yet will look at you like you have a third eye or they will just get seriously PO'd. I know...I've been there and done that...but I don't do it anymore. I only share what I know when I'm asked and witness when I feel led of God to do so...the best witness we have is the way we live our lives.

How about we witness first and then see if the Spirit of God tells us not to?

Does that work for you? It doesn't for me. I've been a part of trying to witness to someone God hasn't called yet...it's not pretty and just pulls those people further away.

I think its fair to say.. you've never been like me.. and I've never been like you.

Suffice to say my earlier post more than likely hit the nail on the head.. its understandable that you'd like to change the subject but truly.. this post isn't about me.. it isn't about you thinking I was you at one time.. its about your perceived notion that everyone who isn't a Christian hates "the" or "a" gospel which I contend they don't.

I think its a fair question:

Athesists.. Agnostics.. any other faith believers other than Christians..

Do you hate the bible?

or do you hate the manner in which some use it?

For me.. I hate the manner in which some use it. I hate with the heat of 1,000 suns that some twit wants to teach "creation" as science in a science class. I hate with the heat of 1,000 suns that some powdery white jackhole in Utah wants to impose HIS or HER religious beliefs on those in California. These are things that I HATE. Why? Because it screws with peoples personal freedoms.. and I HATE that.

It has nothing to do with the "message".. people screw up messages all the time.. it has everything to do with projecting the flawed message on others to gain some sort of control over other people or a political edge (********* in the ear hole Hannity..)

What the bible states has no LEGAL bearing on my life. What it means to me is quite personal... and I'll be damned if I won't fight tooth and nail to defend somebody elses right to reject your dogmatic advances.. because ultimately if you gain an inch.. you'll take a legal mile..

and by you I mean the proverbial you..

You said, common sense tells you..... well common sense can work the other way. It's what scripture says and I see nothing in scripture that says, wait till the Holy Spirit leads you. I see

(Matthew 28:19) 19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Because the Lord knows the best time, the best place, the best setting, the best way. That should be obvious.

He knows better than you (you meaning all of us Christians), that's why WE need to be led by the Spirit, instead of CHECKED BY the Spirit.

This isn't really complicated here....

You say it's not complicated. Where is that in scripture? All I see is
