Makes sense to me. We learn what inner peace is BECAUSE at some point we did not have it. Everything we learn requires a contrast.

Study history. The masses can be suddenly spooked by traumatic events and act in irrational ways which they would not "normally" act in and may regret later. Plus - the media can vastly spin stories to move public opinion one way or another on particular issues. That's why the instant cell phone vote idea is terrible. PLUS - all the people, ALL, not just the majority have a right for their voice to be heard. That's why we have districts and states and such.

In congress, debates can be drawn out until more facts can come to light and public opinion settles down or "sees the light" on a particular issue. Elected officials act as a buffer between instant satisfaction on today's popular opinion being implemented.

You talk about no need for the Supreme court, reps, lawmakers etc because we have cell phones. And you suggest some kind of text in majority vote to insert constitutional amendments? Who will write the proposed amendments?

I agree with you that ultimately cooler heads prevail (nationwide) and I don't agree with the other poster that it would be the lunies taking over the asylum, but it would be the fickle masses putting us through crazy and impractical gyrations when a big crisis hits.

You have mildly interesting ideas. But leave off the silly insults like I am just using my frame of personal character reference to judge what everyone else would do if your system was implemented (That is, if you wish to converse with me anymore. If not - then don't worry about it).
