[quote=Elder James III;11666026] As a born again conservative and suffering member of the "perplexed" generation I find solace, not in building a theology on an obscure passage of Scripture with which to put a guilt trip on others, but in embracing Philippians 2:1-12 and praying for Grace to allow me to see the God in all other Christians. I find it expedient occasionally take a quick glance in the mirror for motivation to remain focused. The operative words are "all other Christians".

Are we not living in perilous times? The agents of another purging, perhaps more traumatic than was the Civil War, apparently to the spiritual ignorance of too many, are no longer knocking on our door; they are living and prospering right here in our midst (II Chronicles 7:14).

Watchmen! Watchmen! What of the night? Is the enemy still lurking about? (Edited)

"We hold these truths to be unimpeachable, proclaimed by the Scriptures, written in our hearts and ratified on the Cross, that all men are created out of one blood in the image of God and assigned certain inalienable responsibilities, principal among which are the security of their souls, the preservation of their testimonies, the advancement of the Kingdom and the love of all others as themselves.

Believing also that everyone who neglects their responsibilities, who does not endure to the end, especially those who once tasted of the Holy Spirit as ambassadors for the Kingdom and yet conspired to barter their credentials for political prestige, secular power and temporal trinkets, shall be numbered with the wicked at their resurrection to spend eternity with Satan and his fallen angels, we solemnly pledge our lives, our fortunes and our hearts to exhorting others to embrace His summons to serve, to sacrifice and to suffer as a necessary prelude to spending eternity with Him.

'In God We Trust,' lest this nation should perish, must become a fulfilled prophecy through His people (2 Chronicles 7:14) as opposed to a mere ceremonial convenience for the enemies of Jehovah-Nissi (2 Kings 18:25
through
19:35)."

Keep the Faith fellow soldiers! Keep the Faith! Selah.

The bad news is that the spiritual descendants of Ross, Dabney and Thornwell are alive and well in America (think voter suppression). The Good News, pun intended, is that the God who set the boundaries for the Slavocracy, as demonstrated by the catastrophic defeat of Robert E. Lee at Gettysburg on 3 July 1863, still reigns.

God did not compel America to adopt "In God We Trust" as its motto. It was our choice. But since we did choose this slogan, we need to understand that He will not allow us to give Him a bad name in the eys of the infidels. Jehovah manifestly is a merciful God. But He is also a just God. Long suffering? Yes He is definitely long suffering. The bible says so in II Peter 3:15. But He is also a just God. Every now and then, He decides to purge those that He loves (read the Book of Judges). America, my brothers and sisters, has been testing the patience of God for a long time. Our profane babbling just might be grating on His ears. It is possible a few corporate "Lord Have Mercies" have already been scheduled for America.

Please join me fellow Christian soldiers, in rejecting the provocative rhetoric from tyrants and the blatantly satanic criticism being hurled into the face of President for all quarters. Let us fervently and earnestly beseech our God in prayers to have mercy on our nation. Amen.

(Edited).
God is still in charge, Sabrina Fulton asserted after the shooting death of her son Trayvon.
It was God's plan, George Zimmerman, the admitted shooter, asserted about the same incident.

Rabshakeh, the spokesman for King Sennacherib of Assyria in publishing his alleged assignment from the Lord to destroy Jerusalem, was unaware of his other assignment to be an implement in a plan immeasurably more pleasing to Him (2 Kings 18:25). On a subsequent morning, perhaps of the day planned to commence the destruction, a remnant of the Assyrian army awoke to discover 186,000 of their fellow soldiers had been visited by a death angel during the night.

It might not be evident to all observers but, at least to my eyes, there is a golden thread of instruction connecting the words of Sabrina, George and Rabshakeh; all three were sharing the revelations they had received (Isaiah 45:5-8) from Him who governs the essence, purpose and destiny of all things without knowing the final outcome of the matters of which they were speaking.

Rabshakeh, for instance, would certainly have urged Sennacherib to flee back to Assyria without delay if he could have foreseen the calamity his "assignment" would invite upon the Assyrian army. Sabrina, as an extension of her faith in God, surely understood that He seldom ever reveals the details of His agenda to His people; she is yet confident He will work things out for His glory and solely according to His priorities. Sabrina, perhaps more importantly, also understands that, in the manner of our persecuted Messiah, Believers frequently must suffer for the advancement of the Kingdom. The declaration from George that the death of Trayvon was God's plan gave witness to His sovereignty over all things and established a marker that will in the not too distant future bring some events related to the Trayvon Affair into proper focus. Offences, tears, pain, persecutions, false accusations, racial profiling and even death must come to His people but woe unto them though whom the offenses are sent Mt 18:6-9).

The relatively subdued and distinctly multiracial demonstrations that developed in the wake of the Zimmerman Trial were an affirmation to some that God was the Author of the invocations both of Sabrina and George. Just imagine, then, how Christian Americans would rejoice and shameless provocateurs of racial strife would be terrified if Sabrina and George became collaborators for racial harmony in our nation. What hinders the creation of such a union? Did not Sabrina say she would like to pray with George? Would such an event not be a historical blessing to our nation? Who can say that God did not raise up George and Sabrina for such a time as this?

Please join me, fellow Christian soldiers, in rejecting the divisive rhetoric domination the airways concerning the Trayvon Affair from all directions and the unmerited vitriol being hurled into the face of our biracial President.

This is not a political crisis! It is an opportunity for the Christocrats who understand that "Christian Racist" is the most oxymoronic expression known to God's creatures! Let us not let the harvest past! Amen.

Default Remembering an Atrocity: God Meant It for Good

Our Creator, however, is a merciful God who draws near to those who are of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Miracles are therefore being wrought at this very moment in the areas of America once known as the Slavocracy as affirmation that the Peculiar Institution was His handiwork, but surely not for the reasons advanced by the tyrants. Satan, of course, is still busy in these same regions with His deadly deceptions
.
The reign of the most bellicose 20th century agitator for the brutalization of African Americans, Alabama Governor George Corley Wallace Jr., began slipping toward its nadir on 14 January 1963 during his inauguration for the first of four gubernatorial terms.

Speaking from the hallowed place where President Jefferson Davis had petitioned the "God of our Fathers" for guidance in governing the Confederacy 102 years earlier, Wallace enthralled his supporters, the greatest people ever to tread this earth in his often stated opinion, by reminding them of his campaign promise to fight for "segregation today, segregation tomorrow and segregation forever." Was Wallace fantasizing about draping himself in the glory that had eluded President Davis and the Confederacy?

A few weeks after voicing his vision for One Drop Citizens, responding to questions from a New York Times reporter about the rising tide of unsolved bombings in Alabama, this minister in training for God's kingdom reportedly growled that a few first class funerals were need to prevent racial integration. If the quote by the reporter was accurate and the vitriol was intended to signal the ruthless KKK in "Bombingham" that their de facto immunity from punishment for terrorizing uppity Black people was still under his personal control, thereby inciting them to become even more violent, Wallace succeeded far beyond his most demonic expectations; an improvised bomb estimated to contain 19 sticks of dynamite was detonated against a basement wall of the 16th Street Baptist Church on 15 September 1963 exactly at 10:22 AM.

This Sunday morning explosion shattered the historic stained glass windows in the sanctuary, demolished cars parked nearby and instantly killed Denise McNair (11), Addie Mae Collins (14), Cynthia Wesley (14) and Carole Robertson (14); the most ubiquitous Pyrrhic victory ever chronicled in the HisStory of racism in the Anglo-African Diaspora, "Murders in the Church on 16th Street," to the horror of Christians all over the world, had just been secured with providential precision by Wallace and a few of his beguiled yeomen.

Dr. Martin Luther King eulogized these youngest casualties of the Civil Rights struggle prophesied the outcome of such desecration of God's house of worship on 18 September 1963 with these still resounding words: "And so my friends, they did not die in vain. God still has a way of wringing good out of evil. And history has proven over and over again that unmerited suffering is redemptive. The innocent blood of these little girls may well serve as a redemptive force that will bring new light to this dark city."

It seems possible, as inferred from his allusion shortly afterward to being President of the United States, that Wallace actually believed such heartless acts could catapult him into the Oval Office. Unimpeachable evidence that Providence had reserved a much more excellent vocation for the Governor, however, overtook him on 15 May 1972 in Laurel, Maryland a few moments after one of his virulent campaign speeches. Five bullets fire from a .38 caliber handgun by Author Bremer, a 22 year old socially dysfunctional Caucasian man totally oblivious to the perverse paradoxes of his deed, sentenced the brash Governor to 25 years in a wheelchair, a daily regimen of pain management medication and a torturous return odyssey to the altruistic principles he had espoused 20 years earlier as a circuit court judge. Judge Wallace at that time had demanded, to the consternation of the Good Ole Boys, that Black lawyers in his courtroom be addressed and referenced as Misses or Mister instead of patronizingly by their Christian names only. Our Redeemer is never pleased when His people abandon their first love; He therefore takes great delight in nudging us back to our sanity!

New light came not only to Birmingham in general as Dr. King had envisioned but also to an awakened America in abundance and, more significantly, to George Wallace as a repentant Christian in particular. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. triumphs given impetus by the KKK atrocities, are frequently referred to as the Wallace Victory Acts by Believer who understand that the flawed heart of the Governor of Alabama had been in the omnipotent hands of the Governor of all domains (Prov. 21:1). Cynthia, Denise, Addie Mae, Carole and George, of an absolute certainty, were not taken out of this world until their shared and individual assignments in His kingdom were complete!

One of those shared assignments, the KKK Atrocity on 16th Street which God manifestly meant for good, will be memorialized exactly 50 years later all over America, perhaps also in a few foreign countries, on 15 September 2013.

Keep the Faith fellow soldiers! Keep the Faith! Hallelujah!

Default Who Weeps for America

Now as Jesus drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side and level you and your children within you , to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation. Luke 19:41-44.

“Lord God, we give you thanks for another day.
We give you thanks that you have given us the goals of justice and the designs of freedom, and that these are our heritage as Americans
Bless the Members of the people’s House with the understanding that it is their work to develop the strategies and the plans for achieving those goals, and the trust to know that Your Spirit is with them in their work.” Excerpt from prayer by Reverend Patrick J. Conroy, S.J. on 03 November 2013 in the United States House of Representatives.

“Have mercy upon us, oh God, and save us from the madness. We acknowledge our transgressions, our shortcomings, our smugness, our selfishness and our pride. Create in us clean hearts, oh God, and renew a right spirit within us.
Deliver us from the hypocrisy of attempting to sound reasonable while being unreasonable. Remove the burdens of those who are the collateral damage of the government shutdown, transforming negatives into positives as You work for the good of those who love You. Excerpt from prayer by Chaplain Barry Black on 03 October 2013 before the United States Senate.

No degree of dissembling or perverse punditry can conjure away or even disguise the perils lurking in the shadows around the one nation whose supposed motto is “In God We Trust.” It is almost a certainty, for instance, except for the perfunctory pledging of allegiance to the flag, that the House and the Senate immediately resumed its consuming routine of allowing members of the Republican and Democrat Parties ad nauseam to recite juvenile talking points blaming each other for the financial catastrophe looming in the near future of America.

Most of the pundits, the charismatic Harvard graduate from Texas in particular, seem unaware of the fact that this is not their country (Psalm 24: 1-10). Take back our country from whom? From Him who David declared not only to be the owner of the entire earth but also of everything and everybody that dwells therein.

America is approaching the precipice. If the Owner of the earth and its inhabitants decides to send us even a small reminder that He still has the title of “our country” in His hand, many will be crying “Lord have mercy” in the land. What if He decides to take back “His country?”

Thank God for Reverend Conroy and Chaplain Black.
