Perhaps you can understand that people who are being controlled through fear may very well be living in a hellish state of mind. And also that people who are being controlled by fear may very well "snap" and act out in harmful ("hellish") ways.

Nope most usually don't see it as being controlled through fear and intimidation...they view it as the sacred word. They only pretend to walk the straight and narrow because they think they are special little snowflake who is save from eternal hell simply for "believing".

These types have been around since the invention of christianity.

This is the problem with belief in an afterlife.

People (rightly) acknowledge that an afterlife could just as easily be Your Worst Nightmare as it could be Your Wildest Dreams Come True. An afterlife is limited only by one's imagination, and thus includes the possibility of infinite danger. Religion figured that out a long time ago.

So we have endless debates about whether or not babies "go" to places of infinite punishment after they die. And endless debates about how to avoid a bad afterlife and get to a good afterlife.

In other words there is a line: Don't threaten \ don't ignore.
Spreading your paranoid delusions to children (who don't know any better) ought to be considered a form of child abuse.

It's total child abuse. It's a truly disgusting form of child abuse.

Yes they have, and here is their mascot:

Spreading paranoid delusions is to claim expertise only to then mock that very source upon which the expertise is claimed upon.

I don't know what you are talking about.

You live your life in fear of imaginary dangers. How does it feel?
