Here is a pretty cool quick assignment concerning the Seven Churches of Revelation in Revelations chapters 2 & 3.
Ever seen a Menorah? A Menorah is a lampstand of 7 candlesticks. Bringing that up to give you a mental image of the candlesticks. For each candlestick, write upon the candlestick the name of that respective church as it is encountered in the text. Then go through again and remove all the candlesticks that the Lord finds disfavor with. Which ones remain? Remember, it says the following:
Rev 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
So see if you can figure out which candlesticks would remain and reply back in this thread.
Doesn't look like anyone else was able to figure it out or interested in figuring it out.
God only finds favor with TWO of them. Philadelphia and Smyrna. If you labeled them on the menorah in the order specified you would realize that are the middle candlesticks to the left and right of center. Remember that the Lord is in the midst of them which is exactly the case.
Now HERE comes the cool part. These are ALSO the TWO WITNESSES of REVELATION mentioned in chapter 11.
