Indeed 1John is one of my favorites..and I agree that seeking him rightly is most essential..there is no harm in doing both, as long as the non essentials do not interfere with the essentials

1John 3:2
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Yes, Jesus has and will always have a real physical body of flesh and bone...

One day we who are saved will have a body just like the body that Jesus has right now.

I agree. Why can`t we just say, I don`t really know but here is what I THINK. Some things such as this are not that clear. Because we live in a body of flesh and blood it is hard to understand anything else. Good post, blue.

Flesh divine is a teaching that describes the physical state of perfection.

The new Testament has examples of this Quickening/Tranfiguration/Metamorphysis of our physical cells to divine cells.

A divine nature allows one to come and go as the wind.

Jesus was transfigured before their eyes, Moses and Elijah appeared (physically).
Jesus taught that the mortal must put on Immortallity.

Overcoming through living the teachings of Christ brings about the humility, and love attributes that cause the cells to be receptive to the spiritual energy we know as life (consciousness, awareness) the two become ONE.

As it was in the begining in the Garden.

godspeed,

freedom

Every thread is interesting, and can be of interest to different people. I wouldn't trivialize anyone's questions or comments.

Well, Jesus is God, and God is a spirit. I think that when Christ was transfigured that is the image that I think that He has in heaven.

Christ is the Almighty God, and He can appear in what ever image that He wants, but remember He is still a spirit.

This appears to be the closest we get to any real indication of Christ's nature in heaven and even this is vague like so much else in the Bible. "We shall be like Him (as what---physical being or spiritual being) for we shall see Him as He is (what is He---physical Being or spiritual Being?)

When we rise up out of the grave, we will have the same type of Body that Jesus has right now...

It will be an everlasting body of flesh and bone.

It is still a 100% human body, but its nature is changed so that it can not pass away.

"Supernatural" superstition and magical thinking of primitives still reigns supreme even in this enlightened modern era.
