Why do some Christians persist in thinking that anything that feels good, must be sinful?
Why do these same Christians scour the bible for dour, ridged and forboding passages, ignoring all of the passages, in BOTH the Hebrew scripture and the Christian Scripture, that are joyful, loving and inclusive?
I once did an interesting study of proverbs.
The most famous passages invove the value of corporal punishment and the horrors of women who speak their mind.
But check it out folks - it's not all kid and women bashing!
Proverbs are down right uplifting!
Who knew?
To my Christian brothers and Sisters I say - Party on!
In bible times weddings took three days.
Ever been to a fundie wedding?
I would rather go to an Irish wake!

This is why this quote applies:

"Protestantism is the sneaking suspicion that somewhere, someone is enjoying themselves."

Only a sin if you don't share

Anyone who says no is fooling themselves and rationalizing bad behavior.

Anyone who says 'yes' is trying to replace God by making up new sins.

True.

Only those things which pertain to Life and godliness are spelled out for us in the Bible.

In terms of godliness, EVERYTHING is spelled out for us.

How to wire a car? no, not so much.

So you are correct. Not everything. Only all things pertaining to Life and godliness.

By saying "...fooling themselves and rationalizing bad behavior", what exactly are you basing that on?
Don't you think there are any circumstances at all that would be considered reasonable?
