How about this Harold?

The Sabbath is found is Jesus, and that's a seven day rest - 365.

My little buddy....you are so correct. We rest in Jesus and that is a 24/7 promise.

I have to spend the week sitting on a mat on the floor, all by myself, and sleeping somewhere besides in the bed I have always shared with my spouse. Yeah, the law kind of sucks for women.
Yes it certainly does....aren't you glad we are no longer under the law.

The commandment keepers forget about the 600 or so other laws that go with the 10 commandments....but I guess those ones don't count....how convenient.

Those who live under the law will be judged by the law....good luck with that. Thank You God I am no longer under the law but have Your amazing grace and love to see me through.

Wonderful thread. I completely agree that we are to obey the Law of God.

Does/can the Law save us? Absolutely not. Salvation is a gift from God, by His grace.

However, we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Jesus tells us "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) So out of love for our God, we are to abide by the Law.

That is not what the bible says nor Jesus.. Jesus say if you love me keep MY commandments.. not the Law, not the ten commandments.. HIS commandments were to love God and love one another as ourselves.

Those are the commandments we are to keep. IF we are faithful to do those two things then we abide in him and will live as he lived.

The Ten Commandments are Jesus' commandments. Jesus is God. The Ten Commandments are God's Law.
