How could there be "limited atonement" if God
" purchased the whole field to take out the treasure"

Here is some scripture to back it:

Luk 6:45 The good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart. And the evil man brings forth evil out of the evil treasure of his heart, for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of his heart.

Here is more scripture to consider:

Luk 9:54 And seeing, His disciples, James and John, said Lord, do You desire that we tell fire to come down from Heaven, and to destroy them even as Elijah did?
Luk 9:55 But turning He rebuked them. And He said, You do not know of what spirit you are.
Luk 9:56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

Yes until we learn that God is for All and loves All of His creation , we will always have a tendency to want to destroy and stand in the way of those He came to save, whether that be literally or by the preaching of hell fire.

I quoted this verse in another thread, but as we are quoting verses here to show the love of God for his entire creation and his plan and purpose for reconciling all to himself, i will post it here as well ...

Psa 145:9
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

God is Good to all ... Not only to Jews or Christians ... His tender mercies are over all his works ... Not only over Jews and Christians ...

Amen and Selah ...
