Sometimes we as Christians make stupid bad decisions and do the "wrong thing". So what are we to do? How do you fix it? What does God think?

Yeah, I know: were human, stuff happens, and it's hard to walk blameless day after day. But...we are all expected to at least try. We can't use "I'm only human" as an excuse for not trying...

Example: today I screwed up. In a fit of anger, I lost my cool and said something to another that I shouldn't have. The other party involved was pushing all my "wrong" buttons, provoking me, but still I should have kept my tongue. I didn't. I let him have it with "both barrels".
Now I regret what I did, and will have to somehow repair the damage I caused. His parting words were something like "some Christian YOU are!!!" He's right on that count: very bad example on my part...what I did was wrong.
It's like I moved forward a step yesterday, but then slid back three today. Why do I tell you? Because...the Bible says to confess your faults one to another... (James 5:16) It doesn't say "cover it up and hide it"...it says confess your faults...
Maybe the next time this situation comes up, I will have learned how to handle it better...

Bud

Bud, I know without a doubt that you will restore your relationship with this person...because it is in your heart to do so...you've learned something about yourself today, and you have grown from it...this is a very good thing...now tonight, there is an even better Bud than there was this morning when you woke up!......consider it a beginning...not an ending...

Hey Bud...

God bless you bro.

Nobody is perfect. Those who think they are, are in absolute denial.
We're here to learn. It looks like you did a pretty darn good job of learning. Go and make it right.

Anyone can have a bad day and lose their cool, anyone. How many times in a day do we have thoughts that we wish we didn't have and we immediately feel our hearts squeeze?? It's the process of God tranforming our hearts.

To be convicted in your heart, humble yourself and make things right... well, that is God doing His work in your heart. That's part of the reason we're here.

Peace brother.

Bud
Bud, do you think what you did surprised God somehow? I can assure that God has already planned out exactly what we are going say and how we are going to act in this life...He does it to fulfill His purposes and to refine and test us. This was a lesson for you and now you have been convicted by His spirit to change and make it right. Knowing that you did something wrong is the first step in passing the test God has just placed before you...go to the person, with your tail between your legs, and make it right. Not only will your light shine to God but it will also shine to the person you injured.

God Bless!

At least you have enough self-awareness to realize you did do something wrong ~ that is a plus.

What's really scary, is people who claim they "never sin"......now, there isn't much you can do for that...

Hi, Bud As we are still imperfect human beings I think we are all a work in progress..It's a big job and requires a whole lot of repentenance and forgiveness on our parts as we strive each day with our personality flaws
This life, our job, our family and even ourselves have many potentials to cause us to lose our tempers now and then and allow words to fall from our lips that we immediately regret..

What an amazing and wonderful God we have who loves us so much that His grace and mercy cover our imperfection. Your humbleness and confession, are a good lesson for those of us who also "lose it" now and then..The light of Christ shines brightly from you, Bud

As long as you have breath in your body you will make mistakes, we all will. Christians are not perfect, only Jesus was.

When you sin or make a mistake, ask God for forgiveness and then move on with your life. NOw that being said that does not mean we can sin willfully, that means we are not perfect.

God said before you were born I already knew you, so God already knew you was going to make that mistakes. That is why He sent Jesus.

So, when I make a mistakes, I don't sit around and cry about it, because God already knows my mistakes before I make them.
