Universal Salvation is often painted as wrong but here we see that God's anger or wrath serves a purpose. The fact is that eternal torture or annihilation serves no purpose...

Psalm 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

Psalm 103:9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.

Psalm 118:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Isaiah 54:7 "For a brief moment I forsook you, But with great compassion I will gather you."

Isaiah 54:8 "In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, But with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you," Says the LORD your Redeemer.

How can one say that God will torture anyone when his true nature manifests as love....

I see many people say that justice requires that some go to hell eternally but I cannot reconcile that with the God that is the savior and redeemer?

Psalm 67:2 That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.

Isaiah 52:10 The LORD has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, That all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

1 Timothy 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

How is it that men can still say that all people will not be saved?

Is it scriptural? No.

What is it? A Satanic distortion of the word of God with the aim of deceiving the human race into thinking that you can bypass the expressed requirement of believing in Christ for salvation. The goal of Satan is to prevent people from being saved by confusing the issue, and by discrediting the word of God.

Yet there is no way to gain salvation... so you contradict yourself...

You say there is no way to earn salvation but you must earn it?

"bypass the expressed requirement of believing in Christ for salvation"

NO, that is not what believers in biblical universal salvation believe. If you want to try to refute our belief, at least try to understand it first.

I fully understand what universalism is about. It maintains that at some point after death everyone will believe in Christ and therefore will be saved. But that is straight out of the fires of Hell. The only opportunity a person has to believe in Christ is while they are alive on this earth. After you die, it is too late.

"After you die, it is too late" <- that is the real lie of Satan. There is no scripture that says any such thing.

Universalism is it scriptural? No.

Universalism basically says everyone, and they mean everyone, will be saved in the end. So all the bad dudes throughout history will get a free ride into heaven and be with God It is a lie of course. You only quote but a few verses, go here for a complete list on the opposing verses.

Legoman . . do you believe in the divinity of Jesus, that he is a diety?

(((* Sigh - ShanaBrown would be nicer *)))

If He is to be all in all, how do you "reconcile" that to eternal damnation?

Yes, Jesus is deity. Specifically:

1 Cor 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
