Default God's Simple Plan of Salvation

I wanted to post this link which offers a nice, short, clear and uncluttered presentation of the Gospel of Salvation. Here it is.

God’s Simple Plan Of Salvation

If you are wondering what happens to you after death; if you want to have an eternal relationship with the God of the universe, then,

Eternal salvation is as simple as 'Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.' Acts 16:31

John 3:16 ''For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.''

v17) ''For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.''

v18) ''He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.''

John 5:24 ''Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.''

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, ''I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.''

John 20:31 'but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.'

1 John 5:11,12 'And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12) He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Not to argue with any of the above, here is Paul's Gospel, as he received it from Jesus:

1Co 15:1 But, brothers, I reveal to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand,
1Co 15:2 by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the Word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered to you in the first place what I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day, according to the Scriptures,

Believe the Gospel. It's true.

God's simple plan of salvation: Love God with all your heart, mind and soul and Love your neighbor as yourself.

Big Brother Jesus gave the simple salvation commandments at the Last Supper.
Instead of looking at the sin, look at the child of God.
Instead of looking at the religion, look at the child of God.
Instead of looking at the race or color, look at the child of God.
Instead of looking at the past, look to the present.
Instead of living in fear, live in the light of Love.
Instead of looking at the starving, the downtrodden and the unloved, look at the child of God.
Instead of looking for God in a book, the trees and the sky, look for God within.

Be Love in the world and touch all those who are children of God. Let the past remain in the past and feed the hungry, the down trodden and the starved. Let Love shine instead of darkness.

Negitive. The Gospel is specific about the requirement for salvation. And that requirement is to believe in Christ for salvation. Those things you have listed above do not result in salvation. They do not result in eternal life. After salvation then look to your spiritual life. The unbeliever cannot look for God within, because God does not indwell the body of the unbeliever.

Furthermore, the Bible is the Written Word of God. It is the mind of Christ. The thinking of Christ set down in writing. It is the revealed word of God through which the believer learns the things of God.

The message of the Gospel is that you must be born again. And that means very specifically, Acts 16:31 'Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.' Nothing else is to be added to the requirement of faith in Christ for salvation. By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Salvation is a work of God Mike. The only "requirement" to be saved is that God do it. The entire thing is a work of God - even the "requirement" to believe - God will give the man reason to believe when He saves him.

ummmmm...you said, requirement? You don't see how that word contradicts if it is ONLY the work of God apart from ourselves?

You twist and you distort, and you speak words without knowledge. Salvation is contengent upon a person making a personal decision to believe in Christ for salvation so that the work of Christ on the Cross may be applied to that person. God places that responsibility on man.

This thread is about the Gospel, so that anyone reading it may, if they haven't already done so, come to know Gospel of salvation.

This thread is NOT about the sovereignty of God versus the free will of man. Or is it your intention to confuse the issue for someone who needs only to know the simple message of the Gospel, and doesn't need to be burdened by Theological disputes? Take it to your own thread.

No.....the bible we have is the rewritten and edited version of the Church of Rome and Constantine which mangles the thinking of Christ. Try doing some serious studying regarding this FACT....you may actually learn something about the spiritual nature of what Jesus taught.

Do you think God to be incapable of protecting His word down through time so that all generations may have His revealed word? Yes, of course you do. You have said as much time and time again.

God has provided for the preservation of His word down through history. There are many thousands of manuscript copies in many different languages that the catholic Church never had anything to do with. The sheer number of these manuscripts which came into the hands of many different peoples and different languages allows for the science of Textual Criticism to arrive at the correct meaning of scripture as presented in the original texts. The many lectionaries that contain Bible passages often taken from manuscripts older than what we have available to us today, are found in museums today. The many scripture quotations in the writings of the early chuch, all have provided for the preservation of God's word down through our day.

You profess to believe in Christ, and yet you never miss an opportunity to attack the Word of God.

And now you would make the Gospel of salvation to be a lie?
