"Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us."

But Jesus said, "Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part." (Mark 9: 38-40)

Good for them! I'm Presbyterian and would love to see my church do this. Presbyterians aren't generally over-the-top anti abortion, and leave it up to the individual to decide which side to be on, but don't think abortion is a good thing unless it saves a mother's life. More churches need to put their money and time where their mouth is!

In the state of Virginia, where I used to live, a woman could take her newborn baby into any hospital, fire station, or police station...no questions asked. Wouldn't the church be required to turn the baby over to child protection?

The article states:

"The church is partnering with Bethany Christian Services (an adoption agency) to make this happen"

Correct. There's the Presbyterian Church USA (liberal) and Presbyterian Church of America (more conservative).
