  Did it for you.
I agree as well. We should be trying to live our lives in a way that makes people stop and wonder what's so different about us!

But, very frequently, there is alot of pride, and alot of judgement. Too many Christians bull their way through, come hell or high water, and then wonder why they are, frequently and sharply, rebuffed. I stand by my original statement, that if Christian folks are living strong, loving Christian lives, they will cause people to want to know what and who they believe in.

Jesus said in John 4:35, "Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." The exact point Jesus was trying to make is to *stop waiting* The time is now! Paul wrote again in Romans 13:11, "And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed."
Both of these scriptures are telling us to wake up...we are living like we are asleep. We have this AMAZING news, how can we keep it bottled up?! You are right, we should live a life that will cause people to come to us and wonder what we are high one. But the fact is, God did not wait for us to come to him, he didn't wait for us to get our act together or to ask him what he was all about. He *sent* his son to us...Jesus *came* to us. He is a God who meets us where we are and brings light to the darkest situations. We are called to go, to witness to others, to teach and to admonish with wisdom. Doing good works is great, but as the Word says, we recieve grace through faith alone. That is why, in my opinion, it is imperative to not only do good works and treat people kindly but to love them enough you will put yourself on the limb to look like a fool and share this incredible story with them. Who are we to make the assumption that we were only meant to plant a seed by doing something nice and someone else is supposed to share the gospel to them?

Excellent Post!
<as Blueberry slaps her head with her hand and says, "Duh!">...
This is the best argument yet! God sent His Son! Jesus came to us! He's our example!!!
BTW, welcome to the forum, tej434! We hope you stick around!
