JOHN 8:31-32 NKJ
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you
abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free."

The promise of Jesus is clear: the end result of staying in His
Word will be freedom.

JOHN 8:31-32 KJV
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye
continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free.

Whether the Greek word is translated as continue, abide, or
remain, the meaning is clear. You need to stick with the Word;
not stop and start; not try it for awhile; but jump in with
both feet and stay there.

"What do you mean by freedom, preacher?"

I don't mean a license to sin. Sin produces bondage -- the
opposite of what I am talking about.

I mean freedom in every area of life. Freedom from having to
sin. Freedom from fear. Freedom from worry. Freedom from doubt.
Freedom from strife. Freedom from confusion. Freedom from
family problems. Freedom from oppression. Freedom from poverty.
Freedom from disease.

Note that Jesus did not promise that everyone who called Him
Master would automatically and instantly be free. Instead Jesus
indicated that time would be involved before those who truly
followed Him would see the full result of the freedom His Word
would produce in their lives.

If you continue....

If you abide....

If you live in....

If you remain in....

Don't forget the "IF." And don't forget the "CONTINUE." This
Scripture promise is NOT for everyone who claims to be a
Christian. Only for those who are willing to spend the time and
effort required to feed on God's Word.

God is Good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Job 23:12
I have not departed from the commandments of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Beautiful eyes are opening up.
We cannot be looking back.
Nor would we want to.

Ultimate Freedom reminds me of this Psalm:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, {But} it shall not approach you.
You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, the Most High, your dwelling place.
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.

God's promise to those who love Him. To those whose GOD is the ONLY God. To those, whose rightful King reigns in their lives. Want to see freedom? Here it is!! And it is beautiful!!

"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him {securely} on high, because he has known My name.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."

Notice it was this Psalm that the devil used against Jesus in the wilderness. Because of His freedom, the devil wanted to call Him out. To Test Him. How many of us will go through the same types of testing when the oppressed are set free? When the blindness is healed? So the best place to be, is where Jesus was:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

No better place to be!!
