Hello Moon
Yes, Christians do believe in life after death. Death, as we know it, is only the death of the human body. But...we all are more than just a body. We are
spirit, soul, and body. When the body gets old and dies, the spirit (God-given life...the inner you) departs out of it, taking your soul (your mind (intellect), memories of life experiences, etc) with it. Where the spirit and soul spend the rest of eternity, after the death of the body, depends entirely on what you do while you are alive right now. Death is a door. We will all eventually step through that door. When you step through to the other side, you'll see that you are still quite alive, but without your old body of flesh and bone.

Eternal life, in the Christian context, is life
forever-more spent with the one true Living God, God the Father, who created the heavens, the earth, and everything else that exists. This wonderful life can only be obtained by receiving
Jesus Christ, God's Son, as your personal Savior. Jesus paid a horribly high price for you to have this eternal life: He gave
his life, on the cross, for you, for me, and for all who will accept Him. You simply, through prayer, tell God that you believe in, and recieve, His Son Jesus. Then ask God to show you a good Bible-believing church to attend. It is wonderful!
