Only two answers folks ... This is in answer to the poll by Legoman, "Does God desire all people to be saved?"

Any and all explanations whether opinions or scripture references are also appreciated ....

Of course you all know what I believe ... I voted Yes ... Here is why i believe that he will ...

Isaiah 55:11
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Hey you read my mind Ironmaw, this was going to be my next poll! But you have to be careful, some people are tricky with their answers... they will say yes when they can't possibly really mean yes. Although I suspect there will be a lot more "no" answers in this one.

Yeah i kinda figured that was what you were thinking Lego ...

And i agree that there may be allot more No's in this poll ... But at least we are making it evident who believes the word of God accomplishes what he desires and who does not ... And who's teaching makes the word of God to little or no effect.

God desires for you not to sin either. How is He doing in that department?

He will accomplish whatever he desires including the eradication of sin from everyone's lives, all in his own good time. As yet we are mortal and corruptible, but we shall put on immortality and incorruption.

So your answer is no, that God will not accomplish his desire ... Noted.

God's will cannot be altered by anyone or anything, else He would be displaced as Lord of all.

Because of His love for man, He changes him to conform to His requirements rather than simply destroying him.
