Maybe not by name but it did exist. Post resurrection covers alot of background and is pretty close to the end. You do realize that Sin has alot to do with it and it was around from the beginning.

Pretty much at the Council of Nicea where the emphasis was changed from a relationship with God to a relationship with the Bible

I'm talking about beliefs, when did we start believing and practicing wrong beliefs. I'm sure the apostles believed the right things, I mean, they did have a pretty good teacher. So, I bet we were okay till then

This is a big subject and very relevant today. The falling away began during the time CHRIST was here. We read in John about some diciples leaveing CHRIST after He taught about His body and blood.
One of the many faults that developed in Churches, was the position of one Church bishop or pastor. This was taught against by CHRIST and the Apostles (For example I Cor where Paul rebuked them for placeing one teacher above another). But this practice continues today by almost all Christian sects. It is one reason for problems in the Church.
The Church really is not reformed to the point it needs to be. There are many who fear GOD and who believe in JESUS. But many do not understand the scriptures to an acceptable degree. Even scholars disagree about many important issues. So true reformation, or revival, still needs to happen.

Christianity has always been never perfect..... The devil hates God and will always as long and he can,,, will challenge Christians or all men and bring confusion in the earth...... see the devil ruled over the earth for a long time , then the Lord God brought him under his reign,,, then Adan and Eve sinned and released him to detroy the earth again.... Devil hates the fact that The Lord God created man to come and be his Children and will be given equal recognition with The Lord God...... Jesus came and upsurped the devil authority in the earth. but the authority that Jesus gained will only grow with the growth of the Children that come to him ........Today Jesus has a people that is still growing and will NEVER stop growing and refining........ There is a day coming soon when all the people who believe and read the Bible from all the churches in the earth will be absorbed into one Church under the leadership of Jesus Christ Spirit..... So believe it one day my church will be gone and I will Praise the Lord God with all believers of Jesus Christ.... Glory to God....

No, I have reshearched the scripture. You will not find any place in the New Teastament where at any time a single Church pastor was appointed over a local Church. Elders/Pastors/Presbyters/Overseers/Bishops are all the same and were appointed in groups with equal authority within local Churches.
The deciples argued as to who should be the greatest. But JESUS set them strait on that issue and did not appoint any one of them as the chief Apostle. Greatest would be judged by humble servatude and by the fact that CHRIST is in all saints, therefore even the least is the greatest, because only GOD is great.
There are other ministers apart from Elders, but no single person is granted absolute Church authority. That belongs to CHRIST. GOD does not cater to human ego! And Paul was correcting the Church at Corinth by letting them know that all the Apostles were simply servents of GOD and not to be considered as one superior to the other.

So far, I have only seen one real legitimate answer, the Council of Nicea. Sorry, but I can't take an answer that people being taught be Jesus, weren't be taught the correct things. Not wanting to believe them is different. Those people weren't Christians anyways.

The Council of Nicea. Could that have been anything to do with Christianity?
