You're getting into another area many don't understand - they never "left God's love" - and His plan is still being unfolded for Adam and his descendents.
That's why people get confused about God; you guys teach that God intended for Adam & Eve to sin. God did not intend for them to sin, but rather to abide in His love forever -- and that takes obedience. This earth would be paradise today if Adam & Eve would have lived free from sin.
Since Adam & Eve did not live free from sin, however, the human race has paid a heavy toll, these end-time events included. I advise everyone to repent and abide in God's bosom of love while they have a chance; this must be done in truth and obedience. If they refuse, destruction will be their end, right along with the devil. It's a huge fiery pit called hell.
Events like this one has several messages and lessons.

As this happened expectantly, and like the people of Noah's time, so will it be with the coming of the Lord.....only more grandiose.
I respect people's beliefs but just be aware- Christians do not own the Earth. Being only human, you may find even yourself surprised at the way things go down at the perceived "coming of the Lord." Christians do not have a monopoly on the understanding of why natural events occur. Only their belief. May it serve you well.
We are in the end times; and the devil is in full attack mode to destroy as many people as he can. The destruction of nature is yet another sign too. Feel free to join the discussion about the weather patterns.
I wish christians would make their mind up who is doing the destroying . One minute we are told it's God who destroys people in eternal flames , now we are being told the devil is the destroyer by earth quakes and other disasters.
So it seems to me according to christian belief that the devil is trying to destroy people before God does.

Actually they get confused because 'you guys' say an omniscient/omnipotent/omnipresent God creates a universe and then creates 2 people in His image then allows quote "unintended" (although absolutely 100 percent foreknown and preventable) events to happen which (ultimately) casts hundreds of billions of people into eternal agony. All for the sake of 'free will'.
What happened in Chile is really nothing new. It's been a seismic hot-bed for a very long time. In 1960 they experienced a much larger event than this one:
Like Port-au-Prince, they really don't design and build structures that well down there. Consequently, when these events do happen, a large loss of life and infrastructure is to be expected, particularly if the epicenter is within close proximity to urban areas.
If anything, it should teach us to have our foundations deeply established in Christ with plenty of ductility when needed...but that's about it.

None of the things you mentioned started in the last 10 years. Haitians have been practicing Voodoo for a couple of hundred years. Branding is a ritual that has taken place in some of the most ancient cultures on Earth and hyper-sexuality doesn't even define the Roman Empire or the indulgences that other cultures have participated in.
The only thing that has changed in the last ten years is the emergence of infectious mind viruses that are now propagated better by the internet and twenty-four hour news channels.
Everyone hollered and hoorahed when the internet was supposed to bring the world together. It did. There has never been a time in this world where information has been consolidated in such a timely and intricate fashion.
Unfortunately, the darker side of humanity is also going to become more prevalent and noticeable with that. We are going to hear about child rapists, egregious acts of murder, genocide, and other travesties more frequently - not because they happen any more than they used to but because that information is more available to us. Humanity has hardly changed and the events of the world are no different than they were a hundred years ago, five hundred years ago, or a thousand years ago.
Yes, when the world gets real shakey under their feet, they can all say it was science just before something falls on their head. What a plan. They've really got it don't they? No, not really. But at least if there are rewards in hell for stupidity, they are sure to get their share. Me, I'll truely stay with the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
The Word of God says in Matthew 24:4-8 ....``Take heed that no man deceive you........For many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and shall deceive many.........And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, see that ye be not throubled, for all those things must come to pass, but the end is not yet..........For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and there shall be famines and pestilences and EARTHQUAKES in divers places....... All these are the beginning of sorrows.``........ See the Hamd of God will be lacking in the beginning of sorrows Jesus calls this time..... when believers fall to bring redemption of Jesus blood to the earth and get the land healed. The more unbelievers and sin builds up and the prayers of the past won`t be enough during the times of sorrows. People may not be praying in the name of Jesus, ... allowing the devil to go roughshod over the earth...... The Lord may have control over the world but he will withdraw his hand when sin get stonger and his Children are in lack and do not pray enough to bring HIS Peace a HIS hand is withdrawn........... There are very large fallen angel of the devil who are capable of vibrating the earth to bring earthquakes and weather changes..... The weather change in the eath today is a drought in the Artic and the antartic and snow in not enough to replentish the glaciers........ Droughts bring famines.........
