What is the purpose of people who don't believe? If they are doomed to hell what was their purpose (as you believe God had for them) if they missed their purpose all along (missed the mark...etc.)?

The only two choices I see (and perhaps I am being narrow-minded here) are:
  1. God put non-believers on earth for the purpose of teaching others what is not good but is evil.
  2. God put non-believers on earth to exalt those who did believe and made the right choices.
The problem with #1 is that if he put them there to show evil then how can that purpose count against them? Then they didn't miss the mark if the mark was to show evil.

The problem with #2 is all the verses about how it is not man's desire that counts. Salvation is not of ourselves or we could boast. So the choices we make (whether bad or good) cannot count against us toward an eternal hell. So exalting someone doesn't mean you burn the other to me... and I don't think God's purpose (from what I know of God per Jesus' example, 1 John 4, 1 Cor 13) is to exalt one human over the other or he is a respecter of persons.

I believe God created each human for a purpose....

So did I miss a choice or did I make an illogical leap in thought? or what?

Why were non-believers created if they all end up in hell?

All are born with the same gene....SIN! Whether you're white, or me black, she yellow, or he brown...... we all, all carry that same gene. He didn't create me to love me more than the next person, nor, did He create you, to love you any less than the next.

He is GOD and we are ungodly, sinful, creatures. But in spite of that Katjonjj, we can be certain that He doesn't love any the less. BUT WAIT!! There's something that we can do for Him though, let Him change us! Let Him transform you-to be more and more like Him. Say yes!!

"The wages of sin is death," Paul says in Romans 6:23, "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We deserve to die, but we are saved by grace through Jesus Christ.

We don’t deserve to live with God, since we aren’t perfect, but God saves us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Accept His plan of salvation today! Don't wait any longer, all your questions should have been answered by now. If you want "proof" as so many do, allow Him to show you that He is willing and capable of keeping His promise. Accept, it today! The rest will make sense soon.
