The association is free speech, the truth may be that some Christians want public harassment and nusiances associated with their behavior to be seen as free speech.

That is why this generic association from headlines to the constitution has no bearing on whether truly Christians are being denied free speech in the first place.

Some fundamentalists love to go out and make a nuisance of themselves and film the arrest and then they get the wonderful feeling of being persecuted by the evil satan led government.

I guess soon all the Christians will be rounded up into internment camps for re-indoctrination.

Won't it be a shock for the authorities when we all go *poof* into thin air!

Seems as if a recent poll revealed that about 80% of the public thinks the same about government

Nor am I interested in debating it. I presented the article for people to see. There are those who understand the issue and those who never will.
Freedom of speech has been gone a long time in this country. Just because the government is catching on now doesnt mean they are leading the way. Christians are under oppression by the people first and foremost. The government has been so slow for years and hasnt led the way in much of anything. The truth is that the government is in fact following the will of the poeple. There is no penalty, there is no judgement, remedial correction, no eternal seperation, we all worship the same God.... the list goes on and on. The government is just a by product of the greater scheme.

As always sir you stand for His Truth!

We do live in strange and exciting times. The return of the Lord for the church is near, and then His return to terminate the great tribulation and usher in the Millennial Kingdom in which there will be perfect government with Jesus as the King sitting on the throne of David. And He will rule with perfect justice. And there will be freedom.

AMEN this weekend I met with the father of our Youth Pastor who has been a missionary all over the world. I asked him about such things and he tells me he sees the remnant everywhere he goes and it still exists.

What is sad is that when he was last in the Phillipines he was asked why the American church was falling apart by a pastor there who had been a murderer and killed some 35 people before he came to Christ. We agreed that it is not the government but the people that have let this happen. The government is merely reactionary and has not been anything more. We as Christians are on the defensive from those who are not of us and the world is suffering because of it. The encourageing truth is that God has his remnant still working amongst a sea of discordant voices all proclaiming self over the Most High God!

Yes. Utimately it is the believers within a nation that bring blessing or cursing to that nation under the principle of blessing by association. The believer is the salt of the land. The preservative of the nation. If there is a large enough pivot of mature believers, then God blesses that nation for the sake of the believer. But if the pivot of mature believers is too small, then the nation will come under divine judgment. Of course, there is also the principle of following the laws of divine establishment which are for both believers and unbelievers. Those laws being 1) Volition, 2) marriage, 3) family, and 4) nationalism. Nations are also blessed when these are observed. And by observing these, the unbeliever can find a degree of happiness in time before he dies and goes to hell.

There are some abbreviations used in the article such as PPOG which stands for the prepared plan of God; TLJC which stands for the Lord Jesus Christ, NVTD which stands for negitive volition toward doctrine, and OSN which stands for the old sin nature.

And this all goes back to the responsiblity of the pastor/teacher to feed the sheep, to teach them the word of God so that they can grow into spiritual maturity and stand in the gap and be a blessing to their country.

In case this is not really clear in America: we are not under any mandate nor requirement to integrate our Constitutional laws with any biblical scripture and interpretation. One can only wonder in awe about where this preacher gets his ideas from. Perhaps he's assuming no-one in his congregation is awake? Or that they just nod agreeably with everything he suggests?

Hmmm...

The bible is not the law of our land. Despite what the bible might require, we do not uphold it's specific mandates. Thank heaven, huh?

Something about The First Amendment as I recall, as well as all the other well written laws of this land that may have taken a cue from various biblical concepts, but not word for word. Our laws about Freedom from Religion are in place precisely to prevent some religious zealotry from taking hold.

And now back to our regular programming....
