Hey all,
I was told to report here. Does anyone know what this meeting is about?

Who cares when it comes?...Just live your life as you know you ought...God works in His own time...I read a book owned by my great uncle called Matthew 24...it was printed in the 1880s or 1890s and it pointed out that throughout the last 2000 years many have ran around pointing to natural disasters claiming that the end was near and everyone needed to repent...and the world still trudged on...i have freinds that knew christ was returning in 2000 so they sold their house and moved to a farm in Pensylvania with several others to wait on the return...nothing happened...the whole point Christ was making was to live life as you know you ought to according to scripture for no one knows the hour or the day...so be ready lest you are caught in an embarrasing situation...Get the Picture?...

I have to ask. Why did they move to a farm? Was it for a better view of the sky when Jesus would have appeared or what? I don't get why they would move to a farm just because they thought the end was near.

I would be a scoffer of your god -- if he existed, because if he does he lets some pretty crappy things happen to the people he "loves". And don't trot out the excuse that it's because we can't understand god, because you rant at people seemingly every day about what god wants of them. If god is beyond our comprehension, how can you claim to know what he wants? The teachings of Jesus sure do get lost in the accusations and arguments in this forum.

Yes, some "pretty crappy things" do happen in our world every day. I'm sure God is saddened by this, I could be wrong. I could be wrong in everything I'm going to say, but it's JMO, okay? I think all the horrible things happen in this world due to the original sin of Adam and Eve. We are all born into sin and have sinful nature and the world is going to be full of horrible things until God is "fed up" like he was before the Flood and then He'll put an end to it all. Of course, no one knows when that will be, God said so Himself. Are there more natural disasters and things going on with governments that point to the end of time coming soon? Hmmmm.....several ways you could look at that. I kind of think so, but JMO again. Some could say that all these things are just more publicized now since we have radio, tv, internet, world travel, etc. and there were lots of things such as this going on before that we just weren't all able to hear about all over the world. Some say that there's no definite "timeline" since the time (days, months, years) of Biblical times are different than they are now, so there could be great "gaps" between prophecies fulfilling. Who's to say for sure? Only God. We just have to be ready every day because it could be any day. If we die before the Second Coming, then we're ready for Heaven already, ya know? Live your life like today could be the day......live you life as God instructs us clearly to do.....in the Bible...His Word.
