Jesus was saying it is always trustworthy to call upon the name of the Lord.

Mt 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Isn't that heartbreaking! Imagine how much anguish the Lord felt at the time he said that. In another place it says:

“NOT A BONE OF HIM SHALL BE BROKEN.” 37And again another Scripture says, “THEY SHALL LOOK ON HIM WHOM THEY PIERCED.” - John Ch. 19

All I can say is I hope there is no Hell. Now is the time to live and love to the fullest. Put your past and your failures behind you and do what needs to be done.
