Then it should go without saying that those thing that apply to the aion come to an end.
Aionios is describing something relative to the current aion (age). Each aion does come to an end. But Aionios isn't describing the aion it is describing something relative to the aion.

Think of the word indestructible. It is an adjective. It has to do with destruction but it doesn't mean that because it is based from a word meaning destruction that the word indestructible means something is to be destroyed.

That is the primary definition from dictionary.reference.com
Exactly. Eternal cannot be solely defined as with no beginnig AND no end. What AIONIOS is, it is continuing age without an end in sight. Mankind cannot measure eternity, and neither can he measure AIONIOS in the context of eternal life, blessing, government under God, etc etc. It is a forever effect. It is eternal.

Trettep, haven't you learned by now that the English Dictionary is not your best resource in interpreting the scripture?

Sciotamicks, it is my best resource in interpreting English. Eternal is an ENGLISH word. It means without beginning and without end. It is the IMPROPER translation of aionios.

Paul indestructible has NOTHING to do with destruction, the meaning of the two are opposites.

The first part of your quote I agree with, so if aionious is describing something that is relative to the aion then when the aion ends so to does that which is relative to it. Otherwise it is not relative to that aion.
