Jasher, which means "the Correct/Upright Record", was meant to be read as a redacted history of the patriarchs and their times, by anyone who read Moses' and Joshua's other writings; which other writings were redacted much more, because; "behold, was it not written in the Book of Jasher!"

Anyone who has wondered about ages, timelines, world history, even, at the times of the patriarchs is benefited much by reading the "Correct Record".
There is no doctrine in Jasher which contradicts the OT or NT, and there is much to learn from reading it, if one has a desire to read history, esp the histories of the Patriarchs mentioned in the OT.
Book of Jasher

The book of Jasher is in the Bible already, it is the summery of Genesis , Exodus, and Joshua, Chronicles, it is not a lost book because all the stories are in the Word of God , the only diffence is that The Bible versions where clarified through Holy Spirit with Moses and Joshua and this book of Jasher is just a general version of the scriptures,.... The Bible will be better because it will be quickenable through Holy Spirit in staying in the truth of the Scriptures........So preachers and Holy Spirit teachers must stay away from all lost and non Bible Books when feeding the Sheep of Christ because of false teaching that can come through the adversary spirits that can bring confusion in New converts....

Too much Holy Spirit in Christianity.... makes me wonder..

The book of Jasher was referenced in the old testament, read it and improve your knowledge. Don't throw Holy Spirit with the slightest provocation

Jasher is a redacted form of the history of the patriarchs and of their times, which Moses redacted even more, in the Genesis account, because; "behold, is it not written in the Book of Jasher".

Also, the word Bible means only "a collection of writings". Jasher, as history, is in my "collection of writings" considered true history, and they end when Joshua begins [and Joshua completed the book of Jasher, which Moses wrote most of]. After Joshua, the history is continued in Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Nehemiah, Ezra, Esther, the Maccabees, and so forth.
According to the OT listing of books, we are missing some of the books which recorded history of the times, and some prose and Psalms and prophecies.
There is no false teaching in Jasher in any way, for it correlates with the OT and with the Book of 1 Enoch.
