I meant it more in that we humans are funny creatures, who think that their interpretation is the true correct one --- and that because you interpret something one way that when you "judge" it is not actually you "judging" it is the word of God.

We all do it.........

I Corinthians 3:10-15...

Paul is stating here that we should not dare join a human/carnal life with a Divine faith...nor the corruption of sin with the profession of Christianity!...in other words...

He's stating that it is possible to build bad upon a good Foundation (Christ!)...that NOTHING should be laid upon THIS FOUNDATION that is not of Him!

v.15...Paul is speaking to the obedient believer at what will occur at the Great White Throne of Judgement...where the righteous, who lived their life in God's will, will be judged for their deeds!...the deeds that were not good will be burned, but he shall be saved...only to be called lesser in the Kingdom of heaven, than he would have otherwise.

In Christ's love...In His truth,
Verna.

Ezekiel seems to me a prophecy to the House of Israel about their wickedness and they destruction that was to come to them which was fulfilled in 70AD

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 3:26 [B]To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

In context the sins that are past isn't it about the law and sin and death ie Physical Israel as opposed to walking in faith and the Spirit in Christ? ......

Acts 17:30 Is that not about the Old Covenant and new Covenant?

Act 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Act 17:32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

Amen!!!...and add this to that!...

ROMANS 5

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we [obedient believer's] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

This faith that justifies is a faith that believes deep in the heart...it is a believing, obedient faith in Christ. This faith brings the whole life of the believer into obedience...see Rom 1:5: "...By whom we have received grace and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE to the faith among all nations, for His Name."

This obedient faith gives us peace with God...because we are not enemies to God any longer..neither do we fear His wrath. <<<This is what is truly meant by: "There is no fear in love." Peace...hope...love...and power over sin...the sum of the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth chapter's!!!...<<<THESE ARE THE FRUITS of the obedient faith that justifies...where these fruits are not...THIS FAITH IS NOT!!!

2 By whom also we [obedient believer's] have access by faith into this grace wherein we [obedient believer's] stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

We [obedient believer's] STAND! FIRM! AND! SAFE!...and being filled with hope for the glory of God...it is in this hope we have that is sufficient enough to rejoice now!...as if we were already in it!!!

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

The powerful grace of God works in the tribulation, and with the tribulation.

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

Patient sufferers have most of the Heavenly Comforts, which are great in number as afflictions increase. We need the experience it gives.

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shead abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.

This hope is sealed with the Holy Spirit as a Spirit of love. It is the gracious work of the blessed Holy Spirit to shed abroad the love of God in the hearts of all the saints>>> [obedient believer's]. A right sense of God's love to us [obedient believer's], will make us not ashamed, either of our hope, or of our sufferings for him.

Picking up our cross and suffering our flesh of its desires...is a pleasure...it won't make us bleed...like Christ bled for us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

In God's own chosen time, He gave His Son to die for us when we were unable to think, will, or do anything good. Jesus' death gave us the power...IF WE RECEIVED HIM.

In Christ's love...In His truth,
Verna.

So if God is love, and love is described in 1 Cor. 13, is this description also a description of God?

Let's look at 2 different versions of this chapter (verses 4-8 only for now), replacing the word "love/charity" with God:

KJV:
"God suffereth long, and is kind; God envieth not; God vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not His own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
God never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away..."

Now let's try the Amplified Version:

God endures long and is patient and kind; God never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display Himself haughtily.He is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); He is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. God (love in us) does not insist on His own rights or His own way, for He is not self-seeking; He is not touchy or fretful or resentful; He takes no account of the evil done to Him [He pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
He does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
God bears up under anything and everything that comes, He is ever ready to believe the best of every person, His hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and He endures everything [without weakening].
God never fails [He never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth]....

Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

What is the wrath that we are saved from?

eternal Death ..... eternal torment or judgment for our works

I agree that every person will be judged for their works in fire

Believers should submit themselves now to judgment

1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
1Co 11:33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

I have a feeling that the "eating" and "drinking" is not communion

Quote:
Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
