Correct!! the remnant does not refer to the flesh the flesh is corrupt and does not inherit the kingdom of God

What do you make of this verse John 1:9 It was the true light - which is enlightening every man - coming into the world.

{the word} is the true light to lights everyone coming INTO THE WORLD --- that is the seed (spirit - life force - breath) that we all have as well as having a corrupt nature which is going to be destroyed ..........

Though the number of the children of Israel is as the sands of the sea (hmmmmm that is a lot) ..... it seems to me that the physical Jewish seed is not "as the sands of the sea" it is a reference to the spiritual seed, and is not talking about the physical Jews being the "children of Israel" but the the spiritual seed through Christ.........

Rom 9:25 As He is saying in Hosea also: I shall be calling those who are not My people "My people,And she who is not beloved "Beloved,
Rom 9:26 And it shall be, in the place where it was declared to them, 'Not My people are you,'There "they shall be called 'sons of the living God.'"
Rom 9:27 Now Isaiah is crying over Israel, If the number of the sons of Israel should be as the sand of the sea, the residue shall be saved,
Rom 9:28 for "a conclusive and concise accounting the Lord will be doing on the earth."

God has said the gentiles who were not his people are his people and of the Jews he has said that it is not the physical Jew that is a Jew but one who is circumcised in the spirit........

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:
"Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.

Yes, there were many times in the Bible when only a few were saved. Physically saved from impending doom and immortality are 2 different things.

Oh, so you believe Paul refers to physical salvation? Thanks for sharing.

If you read on Paul continues his train of thought
Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Rom 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
