My point is that God does forgive your sins regardless of your denomination or your specific views of the sacriments, evangelism, and charismatic beliefs and even eschatology which are a non-essential. All Churches, whether Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox who believe Jesus is the Son of God and whose shed blood on calvary covers us, and who have called on the name of the Lord are saved and their sins forgiven(repentance.)

The argument posted is unfair to our SDA brothers and sisters who truly love the Lord Christ and turn to him for salvation. Also, many SDA members personally reject the teachings of EGW and even if they didn't. All who call on the name of the Lord are saved and their sins forgiven.

We must be careful and judging others based on theology or doctrines that we may not agree with. If we did, every denomination in the Christian spectrum would fight with one another. It is the common, Jesus Christ that we all have as our Lord and Savior.

Here is something to think about...Christ appeared the first time in His ministry....the second appearence as after his resurrection...remember, He died and was buried, ending His first appearence...then was resurrected, beginning His second appearence and at that time He completed the Atonement for believers...

1. Mrs. White teaches that an "Investigative Judgment" began in 1844, that only the cases of the righteous come up for investigation in this judgment and the purpose is "to determine" who are saved. Here is her statement: "In 1844...our High Priest entered the holy of holies... to perform the work of investigative judgment. The only cases considered are those of the professed people of God" (p.546). "All who have ever taken upon themselves the name of Christ must pass its searching scrutiny"(p.552). "This work of examination of character, of determining who are prepared for the kingdom of God, is that of the Investigative Judgment"(p.489). "There must be an examination of the books of record to determine who, through repentance of sin and faith in Christ are entitled to the benefits of His atonement"(p.480).

Mrs. White taught that Jesus moved from the first apartment of the heavenly sanctuary into the MOST HOLY PLACE in 1844, and that those who did not believe this doctrine, Satan answered their prayers when they prayed for the Holy Spirit.
Here is her statement:

"I saw the Father rise from the throne and in a flaming chariot go into the holy of holies within the VEIL, and sit down. Then Jesus rose up from the throne and the most of those who bowed down arose with Him. Then a cloudy chariot...came to where Jesus was. He stepped into the chariot and was borne to the throne; they did not know that Jesus had left it. Satan appeared to be by the throne, trying to carry on the work of God. I saw them look up to the throne and say, 'Father give us the Spirit.' Satan would than breathe upon them an unholy influence..."(E.W.,p.55,56).

you've got to study this womans background and see where she is coming from...it sounds like a lot of garbage to me...

Since you departed the Holy Spirit has increased that number to more than 20,000,000. There about 2,500 to 3,500 per day world wide who are giving their hearts to Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God daily, baptized into His Church, recreated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. One thing is for certain, the more the Seventh-day Adventist Church is attacked, the faster it grows. So, keep spreading the news, be it good or bad, just keep spreading the news. Go ahead beat them up, talk bad about them and drag the doctrines through the mud, go right ahead.

By the way, you don't have to worry about me trying to defend Ellen G. White, James White or any of the original members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. My hope is in Jesus and Him along and I don't even try to defend Him. He's awesome enough to defend Himself. I am secure in Him and my salvation is based on what He has accomplished on the cross. I was attending SDA church/bible studies/prophecy seminars, and keeping the Sabbath, as well as not eating pork/shellfish/etc . . . . .I am so glad that the Holy Spirit guided me to Jesus . . . . and His truth . . . they are convincing though, and some very good, but misguided people.

Well the problem with this argument is that Hebrews 9(New Covenant) as well as Leviticus(Day of Atonement) were clear that the 3 stages of atonement were in a clear order.

1)Sacrifice-Calvary
2) Atonement-Heaven(after the ascension)
3) Appearance-(70 A.D. or not fulfilled yet)

Jesus made the sacrifice at calvary fulfilling #1. Hebrews 9 then states that the atonement, could not be made in the earthly tabernacle but had to be made in heaven itself by Christ. This was fulfilled by Christ after the ascension fulfilling #2. The appearance according to Hebrews would be then made "unto salvation" just as in the appearance of the high priest on the Day of Atonement. The appearance was the fulfillment of the atonement.

Your argument that the "appearance" could have been made after the resurrection is not possible since that was stage #3 and stage #2-the atonement was not made yet since that had to be made in the heavenly tabernacle(God Himself.)

I have NO regrets on leaving the SDA movement. The growth or the size of the movement does NOT mean the HOLY Spirit is increasing the membership. Infact, the Bible makes it CLEAR that MANY are called but few are chosen.

Most SDA of today are AFRAID to stand up in defence on the WORD and witness for their FAITH!! Most refuse to answer questions on their beliefs and see it as an ATTACK on them!!

You seem afraid to defend your beliefs? Would you object if i asked you a few questions on your faith to see how TRUE is the SDA doctrine and beliefs? I dont think you would take up my offer for fear that the truth would make you look decieved or perhaps foolish!!

The Bible makes it CLEAR that MANY will be decieved in the last days and will be rejected by GOD!! Why? perhaps they have been taught and believed in a FALSE JESUS!!

Are you willing to put your faith & teachings "OF THE WORD" to the test and accept my challenge on your beliefs? You can refuse if you like but this would show you are afraid to stand up to the TEST and TRUTH and on the WORD!! and it would also show you are ashamed of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST!

You're about twenty years to late. I no longer debate the scriptures, it proved nothing. I am persuaded that a life that reflects the love, glory, mercy and patience of Jesus Christ is a better testimony than mere words.

God see's the real motive for SDA people refusing to testify on their faith!! Your "light" would shine brighter if you were not ashamed or afraid to reveal the truth you follow and accepted this oportunity i offered you. I am NOT JUDGING you but pointing facts on SDA people who claim they are the remnant.

Paul wrote to the Galatian Christians about this tendency to believe in a different gospel:
