Hi all,
Do any of you have favorite writings/websites that have blessed you?

I love the writings of Hannah Whitall Smith. One chapter in her book "the Christian's secret of a happy life" called Is God in Everything? is one I keep going back to. Statements like "If the will of God is our will, and if He always has His way, then we always have our way also, and we reign in a perpetual kingdom" are just wonderful!

There's also a website of a writer, which has been encouraging to me. Here's a taste of what he wrote, and below it, the link to the site. I'd love your comments!

"Teaching men to follow Christ's teachings is right, but condemning men in ways Jesus did not condemn us is wrong. Many preachers are not following Jesus, but they are following man's tradition of error blindly and they think they please God! The Father did not send Jesus to condemn the world of humanity, nor did He send these condemning preachers who enjoy "convicting men of sin." "Convincing a man" (of sin) that his behavior is wrong is one thing, but "convicting a man" for that behavior is quite another matter, John 16:7-11 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=John+16%3a7-11 - broken link). To reprove evil behavior with the goal of edification and correction is right, but condemnation of men and judging men for being enslaved to Pharaoh is wrong. The Holy spirit "convinces men of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." He does not convict men for sin! There is a major difference between the two words (convince VS convict) and the two acts. John 3:17 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=John+3%3a17 - broken link) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. And if God did not send these condemners and convicters of men, who put that spirit in the churches and in the preachers? Huh? Revelation 12:10 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Revelation+12%3a10 - broken link) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelation 13:7 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Revelation+13%3a7 - broken link) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. These are the "foolish virgin" churches both the pastors and their congregations who are overcome, who think and speak like "the accuser". And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon, Revelation 13:11 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Revelation+13%3a11 - broken link). They are so blind that they do not have the slightest inkling as to how Lucifer has "hoodwinked" them. Jesus will remove their candlesticks out of their places because they do not represent him in truth and MERCY, Revelation 2:5 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Revelation+2%3a5 - broken link). In truth Pharaoh has made them his slaves as he determines who should not worship God rightly and what can and cannot be taught, while he refuses to let their minds go free, Exodus 10:8-11,24 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Exodus+10%3a8-11,24 - broken link). For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=2+Corinthians+11%3a13-15 - broken link). When Jesus said, "It is finished" at that point no man could be accused of sin before God in the Heavenly Court. Condemning preachers do not like it, but their opposition cannot change the fact. To all you blind sheep who think condemning men to hellfire and brimstone is great preaching, I have news: Luke 16:15 (http://goon.stg.brown.edu/cgi-bin/pbcgi?sourceform=pbeasy.shtml&maxhits=50&searchtyp e=fetch&version=kjv-g&searchstring=Luke+16%3a15 - broken link) And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The words of preaching that you and the kingdom of devils enjoy hearing are an abomination to God and Heaven!! But if you do not forgive the trespasses of the men you condemn to hell, your heavenly Father will not forgive you as stated in our HEADLINE. "
