It suits the purpose of Satan to deceive the world into thinking that he doesn't even exist. In so doing, it makes it easier for him to accomplish his plans. He has no shortage of gullible people who unwittingly help him in his schemes of deception.

Some people try to use the stories of mythology in an attempt to dispute the Bible's revelation concerning Satan. They will say that Lucifer isn't Satan and point to this or that god of some story of mythology and say that Lucifer is the son of that god. In so doing, they are implying or saying outright that the Bible has taken it's presentation of Satan from that myth.

But much of mythology has its basis in fact. The god's and hero's of much of Greek mythology are based on the Nephilim. The half angelic-half human offspring who were the result of the angelic invasion of Genesis 6. The mythology stories are of course imbellished, but are nevertheless based on events of the ante-deluvian period of human history. Satan takes full advantage of these stories to cause confusion and to muddy up the waters with regard to the divine revelation of the Bible, which is under constant Satanic attack.

So much for mythology. What does the Bible say about Satan? It says that he is a real being. A fallen angel who has a vast army of fellow fallen angels who follow him.

The Bible reveals that Satan is the ruler of this world-Kosmu-system.

John 12:31 Now Judgment is upon this world, now the ruler of this world shall be cast out.

John 14:30 ''I will not speak much more with yu, for the ruler of the world is comig, and he has nothing on Me;

John 16:11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

The Bible reveals that the earth is Satan's domain.

Job 1:7 And the Lord said to Satan, ''From where do you come?'' Then Satan answered the Lord and said, ''From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.''

1 Peter 5:8 But be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

The Bible reveals that Satan is the prince of the power of the air.

Ephesians 2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

The Bible reeals that Satan influences rulers.

1 Chronicles 21:1 Then Satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel.

The Bible reveals that Satan is the father of unbelievers.

John 8:44 ''You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. (Jesus was addressing unbelieving Pharisee's, but by implication, He refers to all unbelievers.)

Ephesians 6:12 tells us the following: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Revelation 12:7 tells of Satan's final expulsion from Heaven during the middle of the Tribulation.

7) And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, 8) and they were not stong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9) And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Isaiah 14:12 also speaks of Satan's final expulsion from Heaven.

12) How you are fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn!

Isa 14:12 describes the same fall from Heaven as does Revelation 12:7 and is enough to establish that Satan is Lucifer.

Both Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 tell of Satan's first fall. His moral fall. That statement will no doubt draw the ire of the usual critics who just can't comprehend the fact that those passages are addressing the power behind the throne. But they are indeed about Satan.

I've provided two resources that briefly discuss the fact that Satan and Lucifer are one and the same.

Is Lucifer Satan? Does the fall of Lucifer describe Satan?

hljc, Mike has been over this before. He did not learn the first time that Lucifer is the king of Babylon so why should we hope he will learn this time?

The Hebrew word improperly translated "Lucifer" was translated "howl" in its other verses. Mike can't seem to see this simple fact. Why? It is up to God to open the mind to the truth.

No matter how clearly something is explained, many people just refuse to listen. Satan is the cherub angel Lucifer. Or Helel if you wish.

Isaiah 13's themes are Satan and the King of Babylon. Mike has it right.

Why do Christians ALWAYS say this as if they know the mind of Satan or write it as if the bible says this is Satan's M.O? Do you really think Satan (assuming he exists) could care less whether people knows he exists or not with the kind of power he supposedly has?

And doesn't the bible simply plagiarize a yet older myth that comes down from the Sumerians and Egyptians - that gods came down from the heavens and mated with mortal women?

I'v noted that all your "proof" starts off with "the bible." Any other independent corroborative proofs?

The Bible is proof. It is absolute truth. You have rejected it. You have shown time and time again that you have no interest in the truth. Therefore, Final comment.

But Mike, you're an intelligent guy. How can the Bible be proof of itself? What if I did that with the story of Cinderella to prove the existence of Cinderella?

As you requested in the other thread, I pointed you in the right direction regarding the prophecies contained in the Bible. You did nothing with them.

Again. Final comment. I will not waste my time.
