I know what you mean

A lot of posters here do say things in a no nonsense way and it is perceived by others as anger, judgment, etc.

Where does anger come from?
It comes from this (IMO):

There are two philosophies in a ping-pong match here:
  1. Decision Theology
  2. Universal Restoration
Both have common error, while at the same time confess to the sole authority, God's Word the Bible.

The common error...human reason.

For DT

Scriptures say:
  • Humanity has the ability and is accountable for rejecting Christ.(scriptual)
    • Human reason concludes:
      • Humanity has the ability to come to Christ (non-scriptual)
  • Few are saved (scriptual)
  • Assured salvation (scriptual)
    • Human reason concludes:
      • OSAS (non-scriptual)
For UR

Scriptures say:
  • God is all powerfull (scriptual)
  • God desires all to be saved (scriptual)
  • God is love (scriptual)
    • Human reason concludes:
      • All will be saved..eventually (non-scriptual)
      • That God isn't being fair\consistent about damnation of the unbeliever if he wants all to be saved (non-scriptual)
Though being not scriptural has no greater incorrectness over another...UR's end result is more devilish in nature.
  1. There is no real purpose for believing the correct saving faith on this earth
  2. There is no real purpose to "make disciples" here on this earth if God doesn't damn eternally
  3. There is no real purpose for absolutes truths
  4. There is no real purpose for being a "good neighbor"
  5. There is no real purpose for being the "salt of the earth"
  6. There is no real purpose for living a God pleasing lifestyle
  7. There is no real purpose for a savior who suffered on earth

You forgot:
  • God always gets what He wants (scriptual)
Now what?

Daniel 4:35
Isa 46:10

I'm working, but that's off the top of head - if those are wrong, scripture's unreliable.

I tend to be just that little more no nonsense with those who are militant about eternal torment , not because they believe in it but because the way they are dismissive about those who are lost that don't believe and the threats of damnation towards those who differ in belief to them.
There a few who believe in ET on this forum i certainly have respect for .

When scripture is used to promote false teaching, it's not the scripture that are "unscriptual". It is a purposeful mis-quote of God's Word to let anybody who rejects Christ as per tradional Christianity has always taught (Triune and as God) think that after this life nothing other than God's wrath will be his eternal fate.

It is a lie to say that a person can believe in false religions \ cults\ or be a atheist and expect to see heaven (ever) after this lifetime.
