That's not a bad name for Dodge's small car. It's been gone for so long many don't remember the original Dart. From what I remember of the Dart, it came in two flavors; slow reliable or quick. Many guys would buy the base and replace the engine turning it into a racer.

Not a bad name eh? Only if it means a basic car with no frills, but I'm sure it will come loaded with everything except maybe heated mirrors or gps and it might even come with those. Of course you know my take on how old car names should be like leaving sleeping dogs to lie.

But you are right on the power, you could get a slow (slant 6) Dart or a medium power (340) Dart or a balls to the wall (Hemi) Dart that was all business, with lexan windows and such.

Read somewhere recently that the slant 6 with a four-speed was rated at 28 mpg highway.

I'll take that one thanks!

I hate seeing old model names being recycled.

They have to, as most good names are trademarked already, and what you're left with it that alphanumeric crap that's starting to show up everywhere. I'd rather see a real name that they already own than some meaningless round of letters and or numbers. (and I say that having owned a number of cars I liked that used alphanumeric naming, like my RX7s and the 740iL). Seriously, you'd rather they call it somthing like an MKZ400?
