It sounds like the shop you used misdiagnosed the problem assuming they did the install correctly.

I had a mechanic change my CV joints years ago because of clicking noises coming from the front end when turning (obvious right?). Only to find out the CV joints were fine, it was the wheel bearing failing. Damn parts changers, good mechanics do more investigation then fix things once.

So I brought it back last week after moving to a new home and not being able to get there for a few weeks. Turns out the gears (Spider? ) they replaced already were worn out. They gave me back my car this past Monday, 6 days ago and said they would call me when the part is in on Thursday or Friday.

Nothing yet, but that is where the story is up to.... the parts they replaced already broke for no explained reason. They could not explain it because they didnt want to tear down the whole setup and leave me stranded without a car for a week since the car is still drivable. Wasnt sure what to make of this lack of knowledge, but I am giving them the change to make it right.
