Thank god theire getting new buyers to the brand. Because die hard Jeep owners are committing suicide watching what Fiat is doing to the Jeep brand.

This new Renegade is on my short list. It gets good mileage, trail rated with a 9 speed automatic transmission, made in Italy (to me that's a plus since most of my family was made there ). Lot's of room inside for a little car and the price is reasonable. This will probably be my car going into retirement and should do the trick for getting me to a trail head with a couple friends. I don't plan on running the rubicon trail with it and truth be told it will probably only spend 1% of it's life off-pavement. The removable skyroof will be cool when taking visitors on a cruise down the Las Vegas strip. Many plus's and few negatives as I see it. Nothing else that I am aware of in this country fills this niche.

Unfortunately, over the last couple of decades I have witnessed Chrysler slowly destroy the Jeep image and now it looks like that "claim to fame" is being adopted by Fiat.

Is it any wonder my 1986 (the final year for AMC) Jeep CJ-7 is becoming more and more valuable and constantly being sought after?

i thought jeep was doing well these days with the grand Cherokee and the new Cherokee.

my neighbor just got a Cherokee. i noticed the last couple of days there seems to be a dodge parked in her spot instead of the Cherokee. so i guess they had some kind of problem.

Then you must have seen the new Cherokees with those hideous headlights. Looks more like a snake.

i don't care what they look like. my comment was regarding their sales. i know a while back i heard the grand Cherokee was doing well. i think i heard more recently the newly designed Cherokee was well received.

once again, i don't care what it looks like. people seem really down on the jeep brand but if sales are growing that is what matters to a business.

this article seems to suggest they are doing well.

No, die hard Jeep fans are buying Wranglers. They still SELL that basic Jeep, and it has quite a following.

I think the Rengade is a good looking small ute.
