They make some good points as to why they may kill off Chrysler. Other points to consider is there really wasn’t much difference between Chrysler and Dodge products to warrant a slightly higher price tag for a Chrysler. Today Chrysler is limited to 300 & a van. If the story is true then it appears FIAT acquired Chrysler just to get Jeep and Ram. Sort of like what Chrysler did to AMC.

They would only drop the Chrysler name since the only vehicles made with the Chrysler name are the 300 and the Pacifica minivan, they can be rebranded with the Dodge name. He’s not taking about selling the whole company just dropping the Chrysler name but still having the Dodge and Jeep, and Ram nameplates.

I think Chrysler actually ended in about 1996 when Daimler Benz took over.

Read about it here: https://www.allpar.com/history/index.html

Since then the company has been run by Hedge fund guys.

I am not sure it woudl make any difference at all. I, and most people I know use Chrysler and Dodge interchangeably, Jeep is usually seperate. A lot of people have taken to grouping all three companies together as FCA some still refer to their cars as Mopar as in "I want a car with MOPAR power!" Which is honestly just silly.

What are you talking about only one capital management company took over and that was Cerberus Capital Management when Daimler sold it and then Fiat took it over from Cerberus Capital Management during Chrysler bankruptcy. We’re do you get that Daimler or Fiat are run by Hedge fund guys both companies put experience automotive executives in their to run Chrysler.

Of course they did. Those are the two most profitable divisions.

And The Fiat Ceo told you right you know for sure right you must be an expert in the automotive business or be on their board of directors. All the automotive experts on here are just too much everyone here knows what is going on with Chrysler or you all must be big shareholders with imput on how the company should be run.
