Jeep Cherokees are much nicer than the competition IMHO but their fuel economy is atrocious.
Jeep and economy don't go in the same sentence. The Cherokee isn't bad for a heavier SUV with somewhat decent AWD - you can't compare it to a CRV or Rav-4. Get into Grand Cherokee territory and forget it, although the V-6 is comparable to others in the class. There's no other midsize with a V-8, so you really can't compare it to anything else there. I get 22-24 out on the highway with the Hemi, 17-18 mixed.
I have the brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Limited sport utility, it facking flies. I noticed it seems meant to go fast, it isn't as smooth on back-roads 15-25 mph but going 40 and up, it does it fast and amazingly.

Also got it in Rhino, really gorgeous colour.
Let us know the fuel economy figures periodically with that turbo

GC doesn't have a turbo unless it's aftermarket, I assume he's talking about the regular Cherokee. GC comes with either the 3.6L V6 or the 5.7L V8. The V6 does not fly at all haha. It's not a bad engine, I've had two of them...but the Hemi in my current one is a different ballgame altogether.

Pretty sure the GC Trackhawk does
