I'm getting itchy....I love my B5 Blue RT Charger, but a dealer near me has a B5 Charger Hellcat and now I'm getting all itchy about trading up.
I really want to wait to see what happens with the 426 comming out before making any purchases or trades though.
I will admit that I do have trouble justifying a Hellcat since I rarely go anywhere but work and I wouldn't drive it to work due to the condition of my work parking lot, which is dirt/gravel.
One day at work, I was helping a customer and somehow we got onto the subject of cars. He has 35 car dealerships, and just bought a brand new Demon to add to his collection. He said, "Here watch this video on my phone."
It was a selfie, taken inside the Demon, looking at the dash. When he launched it, the numbers on the speedometer changed so fast you couldn't keep up. He was at like 130 ish in no time at all. I asked him if he drove it much, and he said "not really".
I will probably go no higher than a Scat Pack myself for the reasons I mentioned...maybe they'll do a SP1320 for the Charger by then?
I'm REALLY curious about the new 426 though....can't wait to see what they do with it! I may be in for a LOOOONG wait though! I don't know why it's so intriging for me but it is!
The thing that's hard to shake with the RT is that multi-displacement thing....I love getting 29mpg on the highway with a Hemi.

Oh the 6.4 SRT/Scat has the MDS tech in the motor too. They didnt skimp. Thats why Im considering it, its a great feature to have. (Not with the Manual trans Challenger though)
Im being told on the Dodge forums that the dealers might not make great deals with the Scat Packs simply because they are selling alot at their price point. Ill still get one though.

So the SP's do have the MDS....I didn't know that....Hmmm.... still gotta wait for the 426 though.
The 426 will come out as soon as they figure out how to have it meet emissions.
