I just seen another article on Cincinnati mall(forest fair) that the nightclubs are probably going to be closing too.

The so-called redevelopment announcement seems sketchy at best. The current owners, World Properties Inc. based in N.Y. state they will transform it into a family destination, with such as an ice rink, some kind of amusement center, a hotel, etc. But very little in the way of an actual schedule or who will operate the entertainment facilities.

This same company acquired the Terrace Plaza Hotel downtown in January 2010 and so far has done nothing with it.

Yeah, I wish that like that hedge fund manager who made $5 billion last year betting against those junk mortgage derivatives, I wish I could somehow make a bet AGAINST this proposed development ever getting past the talking stage. Sad, but true. The majority of these giant enclosed malls are the brontosauri of retailing. Adaptive reuse is a nice idea, but easier said than done.

Its sad to see such a great mall go down like that,I have good memories of going there back in the 90s sitting on Santa clauses lap and watching the parade,and in the 00s going shopping as a teen with friends and family,I hope it dontturn into Cincinnati mills
