Default looking for good hotel

Me and a couple of friends are visiting Cincinnati for the first time in the end of September to go to a few ballgames...We were trying to find an affordable hotel that was within walking distance of most things we would want to do...We would want to do a few touristy things, go to a few bars, go to the baseball games and of course get something to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems a majority of the hotels within walking distance of the ballpark are in KY which seems like it makes them a good 4-5 mile hike to downtown...

Not sure what hotels you were looking at in Ky, but the Embassy Suites, and Marriott, are right on the river, and you can walk across the bridge to the baseball stadium, there are a ton of eateries either on the ky side, or a few blocks from the stadium on the cincy side, all in walking distance.

Thanks for the response...Are either of these hotels within walking distance of any nightlife?

Are the hotels in downtown Cincinnati out of your budget? The Netherland Plaza is worth the $$.

Unfortunately it is booked up...There is a good chance that it would be out of my proce range though...We were looking for something probably around $150 a night or less...
