How's the market for early childhood? I'm exploring my options right now. I assume it's not very good, and there is a lot of uncertainty with this senate bill 5.

I've gone to a few job fairs. Doesn't seem very promising. Like there are more applicants than jobs available.

Can anyone give me the lowdown on the current job market for early childhood education in the Cincinnati area?

CPS has job postings for teachers on their website. You may look there.

I'd imagine that it's pretty rough finding a job with local governments everywhere these days. Tax revenue is down and money is tight. That's not to say that there are no opportunities out there, though.

Not only do you have SB5 to contend with, but a number of districts are failing their levy attempts -- leading to more teacher layoffs and closing of schools.

Not the best time to take up that career path.

However, as the previous poster said - you never know until you look. Find some of the local district websites and see if there's anything appropriate to you listed. Good luck!
