OK, I missed something along the way. I was not looking at the situation as trying to rent a property that is currently on the market for sale, but rather to locate houses that are available for rent. A real estate agent would know, having been involved in the original sale, if someone has purchased property with the intent of renting it. It is possible that some of these are recent enough purchases that the rental listing hasn't appeared yet. I guess that is a difference between small town real estate agents and city agents. The ones I know will help out this way. It is possible that there are agents in Butler and Warren County like that.

Liberty_420, I hope you got my DM with the suggestions I made.

Thanks for the responses all. No, I have not found anything yet. The homes that are available are way over-priced (3K for a 250K home) or something I would never live in. I am looking at renting a condo or townhouse for the time being. Looks like maybe the Landings at Beckett Ridge might work out, though that isnt really to desireable for us either.

Still on the hunt...

Far as I know the condo market is more dismal than single family homes. I would think there has to be some decent sized condos out there for rent. The problem I had a couple of years ago when I was considering buying one were the rediculous homeowner association fees. A rental of course has to include this.
